Thought we looked somewhat better with ballard on. Le fee has to be midfield, wasted on the wing. Very poor all round today.
Sadly though we did show a bit more effort but still not creative enough.
They could / should have had more than one.

Surely one has to go in eventually, just by total fluke if anything.

Horrible every year but its undeniable that when it matters hes popped up with important goals - 95th min vs Watford, Playoff Semi-Final Winner.

He's had 79 shots from outside the box since we've been promoted. 0 goals.

It's the first time I can ever remember a Sunderland team being booed off the pitch when getting into the playoffs.

Watson has to start on Friday with Le Fee in the middle instead of Rigg.

I'm starting to think it's just pure stubbornness that he hasn't tried this yet as everyone is asking to see it.

Or he's worried he'll upset a young prospect and fans for playing someone who's leaving.

In the last 10 games we have managed 8 points...that's almost a quarter of the season and only Preston were worse.

I don't care that we had little to play for that's not acceptable as a club and certainly to us paying fans. The owners will be taking notice I'm sure.

I don’t disagree tbh. Our biggest issue is attacking creativity and I don’t think it’s a coincidence he’s been our 10 for this period.

Debate to be had on how good le fee really is but it’s clear he has something and we need something special, play him in his position and hope he can deliver.

The one caveat I have among all the doom and gloom…. Is the next 2 games will be played in an atmosphere similar to when we played Leeds, Burnley and Sheffield Utd… maybe, just Maybe this might be the magical ingredient that turns us around into a team with fight, desire and passion….. how’s that for positivity

He’s been ****ing lifting second half of the season. Absolute madness that he’s somehow still in the team ahead of a “£20m player”. He’ll start the play offs anarl because the manager hasn’t got the bollocks to change it

    Almost exactly timelines.

Many of us did shout up Dodds importance. Wonder if he gets chop if Wycombe don’t go up.

So now the moment of truth coming up but in the meantime sack the board, sack RLB, happy clappers banished from the earth. Ffs let’s get a grip. Bring on Coventry. Let’s have it. Onward and upwards….

Jim,I was going from this Roker Report (below) as well as some commentators mentioning it.

RR: So, in short... is he any good?
Timur: Wilson performs quite well when he plays in his natural position as a left winger. His strengths lie in simple dribbling and taking shots with his right foot.

However, Zenit often deployed him in different roles that didn’t suit his abilities, and this led to poor performances from Wilson.

RR: He has spent a lot of time playing out in wide areas for Zenit but has generally featured as a striker in his career. What is his best role and position?
Timur: His right-footed shot and quick movements from the left side, combined with his dribbling skills, make him effective in those situations.

RR: Does Isidor have any specific strengths or weaknesses?
Timur: When Lokomotiv Moscow placed Wilson in a wing position, his performance improved significantly, and he began to find the back of the net regularly. However, when Zenit used him as a number 9, he struggled to make an impact.

It seemed unclear how Zenit planned to use him, and they appeared confused about the best way to utilize his talents. Wilson lacks the physical strength needed to win battles on the pitch, and his consistency has been an issue.

To be honest I remember that article and it seemed pretty inconsistent. Even before signing for us he had played more games as a striker than left winger and both him and le bris said that he was a natural striker - I don't mind him playing out there but wish we had tried it again more recently to the playoffs starting.

RLB in a weird spot now because do you really keep the same 11 again after that? All that prep wasted really.

If he changes, what does he change? If he doesn’t and we get we’ll beat on Friday then I think he’s in trouble.

Perfect opportunity was when both Mundle and Watson were injured but RLB often pushed Mayenda out there. Again with his rotating etc the past month, perfect opportunity to get him out there just in case Mundle isn't fit and Watson's few performances where he just didn't put any effort in.
