Agree im concerned as today we looked devoid of creativity, pace and general ideas for how to even create a chance. u Ultimately though the last month has meant **** all. If we show up on Friday and again next Tuesday the last 6 games will be completely forgotton.
Fancy going into the playoffs on the back of 5 defeats! To top it off it's against a team who have been in good who just so happen to be a bit of a bogey team and a team we hate! The season has turned into a bit of a risky fart, only time will tell if we **** the bed or not! But it's not looking good!
Zero positives from that or the last few months really. Think we're bottom or 2nd bottom in the 10 game form table. Rotating as much as we did recently only works if your main players then come back firing and that certainly hasn't happened here. If we'd rotated even just a bit more throughout the season so that players didn't need a break this wouldn't be happening now. I can’t watch Patrick Roberts play anymore. Makes me angry every time he gets the ball. Shocking player, arguably the worst starting right winger in the league. Wonder if we'll see his family members post today? Guess not. Coventry are the one team I didn't want to face. Their squad has everything we struggle against. Pace in forward areas, solid midfielders and physicality at the back. I struggle to see us getting through to be honest. Lose in the semis while playing poorly and I think KLD/KS have a decision to make. The last few months are all on RLB and I don't just mean the heavy rotation. Persistence with Roberts and Rigg, the tactical tweak that has seen the press completely disappear, complete lack of creativity, out of possession shape looks so poor compared to even as recently as February. Feel for him a bit though as the lack of winger signing in January has killed us. Going to get my home leg ticket this week, needs to be a hostile atmosphere.
Positives I should have no problem getting a ticket for the home leg, it’s been ****e lately but siege mentality needed now, let’s just get behind them what will be will be
Biggest thing for me is that there’s clearly no leader on the pitch. Not a single person there can take the game by the scruff of the neck when things aren’t going our way and motivate the younger lads.
Got mine last week but think the tie will be over after the first leg TBH. See a similar performance to one where we got 3-0 whopped.
Yeah I agree, i was only saying there hasnt really been a chance to play Enzo central yet with decent wingers.
One of the most skillful players in the league with a worse end product than a blind painter and decorator.
Too little too late again from RLB. Roberts gets another 90 minutes, showing us nothing we didn't know already. Been Coventry's day today.
I don't think we will be able to overcome the goals they score. We have scored 1 goal in about 7 games or something. ****ing ****.
Coventry are beatable but the problem is that they have goals in that team. They can beat us on the deck, they can overpower us too. We are good enough to go toe to toe with them when we click but attacking wise we’ve offered next to nothing for weeks and weeks. If Coventry get 2 or 3 goals over the two games; which they’ll be confident they can do; then we won’t get through because we don’t create enough. Playing as we are we’re relying on some perfect defensive work and a bit of a magic or some set pieces. Only hope I’m taking is our performances against the top 3 when those games were big. But we look shot at the moment and the fans are massively downhearted. Shocking end of the season by us.
Positives. Cirkin got through without an injury. (Did you notice almost every QPR attack came from Cirkin’s position, were they targeting him) Ballard seemed ok. We have two left wingers who could have played LW today, Watson and Wilson (who is a left winger and was signed as a left winger but scored a few so was made a Centre Forward) Why must Le Fee be used out of position as a left winger. He should be played in the middle where he’s a £20million player. I cannot understand managers who play players out of position when there’s no need to, do they think they are being clever? The other thing is Rigg isn’t doing anything and needs benching so there’s a gaping open place to play a player (Enzo) in his best position.
Wonder what ‘stern words’ have been said this time, that was spineless and embarrassing today, but we will get another rallying call by the players in the next few days I’m sure….
