Utd always win trophies whether they’re **** or not. Don’t like him but Bruno is a great player and has that mentality.

..and a magnificent plan that is too. However, I have become very attached to my wedding tackle over the years and fear I may well lose it if I did that.

Absolutely we will lose to United if we reach the final, we would be up against the officials, the media, the tea lady etc, United also have a more tactically astute coach and some players with a winners mentality. Similar to the 2019 CL final, the worst possible opponent for us, but it`s no formality we get there, nobody will be surprised if we see a Spursy result in Norway.

    Ouch! <laugh>

Bodo/Glimt defender Fredrik Sjøvold on Tottenham’s pressing:

“The press is no better than an okay Eliteserie team. It’s possible to play out of it.”

    He ain't wrong.

I'm not sure what our tactics are right now. I don't think the 'coach' knows...and nor do the players. Any decent opposition can play through us with ease.

Add that to the conditions and atmosphere on Thursday and we're going to have our hands full. Let's hope our better players are sufficiently fit and ready to give us some of their best. The difference in quality in individual players is our biggest advantage.

That must be why they had one shot on target all game, which was a big deflection.

We basically weren't pressing for most of the game.
Angeball's gone out the window recently, especially in the Europa.

I don't know if it's been mentioned but Solanke's penalty was our 100th goal of the season.
We're still the 5th highest goalscorers in the Premier League, despite basically giving up.
Better tactics, a sensible system and the right team selections and we'd be nowhere near 16th.

Would they score as much though?

Not one to stick up for Ange and I think the amateur tactics are not suitable for this level but won’t be easy to score as many if there wasn’t so many players forward as much as there is atm.

Gonna do a catch up read but just want to say when I was watching it

typical Spurs to make affairs nervy for us going into 2nd leg, at 3-0 I think we would have cruised through but they will believe with their home record they can at least get extra time…kind of messed up with their consolation goal

thought Kulu stunk the place out with his energy and it kind of seeped through the team as they all went a bit lacklustre. He had a few decent positions where better decision making could have sealed the tie for us.

    still

see you all on the 21st

Someone was quoting about the high number of 'pointless goals' and the games where we got late goals against tiring opposition.

I think we'd score more, to be honest.
Solanke's been totally isolated most of the time and had virtually no service.
Son, Kulusevski, Johnson and Maddison are generally miles away from the goal, too.
Porro's asked to take up positions where he can't deliver or shoot too often.

A working system would also mean that the goals that we score mean more.
Scoring twice away at Wolves is pointless if we lose 4-2 and get pummelled.
We've also been utterly useless against the top clubs this season.

I’m convinced that Ange is using calling everyone’s bluff as a tactic in our Europa campaign

hence the way we play in Europe compared to domestically

i believe they will train on the plastic pitch

Everything he says seems so illogical it’s like he’s taking the piss

I wish he was that clever or sneaky but the results say otherwise, he’s just making things up as he goes along imo.
