What stats do you want? Here's a few that Nigel won't admit.

Brexit has had a demonstrable negative impact on the UK economy, with estimates suggesting a loss of several percentage points of GDP compared to a scenario where the UK remained in the EU. While some argue for benefits like increased trade flexibility, studies consistently point to a reduction in trade, investment, and overall economic output.
    Here's a more detailed breakdown:
    Economic Impacts:
    • Reduced GDP:
The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) estimates that Brexit will reduce the UK's long-run productivity by 4%. Other studies suggest a loss of 2-3% of GDP.
    • Trade Decline:
Brexit has led to a significant decrease in trade, particularly with the EU. Studies indicate a reduction in goods exports and imports by 27-32% compared to pre-Brexit levels.
    • Lower Investment:
Brexit has contributed to a decrease in business investment due to uncertainty. The loss of European Investment Bank (EIB) support has also affected public infrastructure funding.
    • Cost of Living:
Brexit has been identified as a key factor in the 2023 cost-of-living crisis, with the average citizen being nearly £2,000 worse off.
    • Impact on Specific Sectors:
Small businesses appear to be more affected by Brexit than larger ones due to the increased bureaucracy of cross-border trade. Services exports have unexpectedly done well, but this hasn't offset the decline in goods exports.
    • Future Projections:
The OBR estimates that by 2035, the UK will be £311 billion worse off due to Brexit.

Obviously they are really not relevant at the moment as Reform have nver been elected. That I am sure we can agree with.

However, I am sure you will agree with me that the electorate of county Durham think that Liebour are incompetent and failing us the electorate

Just in case you missed it

I work in Durham and the majority don't have a bloody clue what's going on in the world. They get something spoon fed to them on Tiktok and form an opinion.

The worry is that this is happening all over the place, hence the reason we had Brexit and yanks have Trump.

Blinded.... I played golf today and a few of us were discussing the election. One lad said he's voted Labour all his life but feels since they have been elected they are massively failing us. His words not mine. It's clear that his thoughts are similar across the county....would you agree?

Ooohh and it was mainly the older generation that screwed the younger generation. It's Brexit that's resulted in the hikes and policies that have comeback to bite them in the arse.

Failing the farmers.. that's measurable.. doing **** all on the Pakistani grooming gangs, tvats measurable... doing absolutely **** all on the mass illegal migrants coming over via the English Channel. ..... now that's really measurable......anything positive?

Democracy is a good thing, if this is what people have voted for then let it play out. Let's see if Reform have the competence and foresight to be effective. Ball is in their court.

For transparency let it be known I have the square root of **** all confidence in them.

So I'm guessing over 50? Probably happy to stop the younger generation having access to the same freedom's they had growing up.

How have they failed farmers? Because a small minority will have to pay tax like any other busines? I bet ya Brexit has effed them up more.

Your Brexit was to take back contro lol. How anyone thought leaving would stop the boats is beyond me. Why would France bother to stop them now we are no longer a partner.

Grooming Gangs? Have you heard the thought of Andrew Norfolk on Kier Starmer? Do you know who Andrew is? You've also got the Conservatives to blame in this.
