Absolute minefield this as someone put it above I think it is very simple but I don’t think the world is ready for it right now crazy world right now
Well there's prudish and then there's wanting to keep women safe in a place when they are at their most vulnerable. Men and women should not be in the same public toilet space. If it keeps just one woman safe then it's worth it. It's also about privacy.
That is why a trans women should / will use the womens toilet . though i get the impression that using the disabled toilet , if the premises have one . is going to be the result .
As I said earlier it's a social issue that goes much deeper than football - or sport in general. It's something that as a society we haven't had to think about too much in the past, but we have to deal with it now and there's no quick and easy option.
That's because they're mostly shortarses - so maybe there is a role for trans women in the game after all...
I strongly disagree. I've just done a cursory research and found 3 stories straight away of teenage girls being assaulted in public toilets by men dressed as women. This is the risk that, hopefully with everyone following the law, shouldn't happen again. If a man wants to put on a dress and lipstick and call himself Marjorie, then I say go for it, live your best life, just stay out of women only spaces and women's sports. It's not complex at all. It's very simple. A man cannot become a woman and a woman cannot become a man.
It’s not complex at all. Men cannot become women and women cannot become men. As such men do not belong in female sports, or female single sex spaces.
3. And yet, 50% of trans people have experienced violence, been hit, kicked, or beaten in public. 40% have been raped or experienced sexual violence (non white trans that number goes up over 50%). Literally some are beaten to death. There's no easy answer here, which is why individual stalls, or handicapped stalls as someone suggested above is probably the best answer for everyone. You can say they shouldn't be trans or they should stick what they were born... But realistically that's not going to happen and for whatever reason the number of people identifying as trans is going up. This is a social phenomenon that is not going to go away just because you want it to.
I don’t agree but it is not a mound I am prepared to die on (that was that Mane’s was never a red card against Ederson) I do believe it’s very simple I am all for anyone who feels they are anything no problem there - feel away I am all for anyone dressing however they want to dress But your gender is just a fact imho Regardless of how you feel I really really really feel like a am a millionaire in a paupers body - what will society do to enable my feelings on this one bizarrely South Park tackled this years and years and ago, and as with most of the social commentary they do their points - for me only - were pretty much nail on head. but this is a rabbit warren
do you think someone that wants to assault a woman in a bathroom is going to be put off because the sign says women only? Someone wanting to assault someone in a bathroom isn’t going to be put off by a sign in the door Also to compare a man dress as a woman to a transgender woman is very very wrong.
I think that putting it down to "feelings" is over-simplifying the matter - there is apparently considerable biological evidence that gender is not binary. In other words it is a genuine "condition" for want of a better word, and not just a cultural fad. I would also say that a few years ago I would have totally agreed with you, it's just that some things I have read have led me to believe that I may have been wrong. However, this is not my area of expertise so I'd suggest anyone sufficiently interested to do some research into it and find people who can explain it far better than I.
ffs one of them is going to end up in the CL aren't they. Barely above the relegation zone and one of them will be in the premier European competition next season. Unworthy of it, both of them. Uefa needs a rethink of rewarding the EL winners now that the CL teams aren't dropping in. It was designed so that the top European clubs that missed out on the group stage cut would take the competition they were dropping into seriously. Not for clubs who have given up on league position as an easy way in. Two of those who have spent the season chasing top4, giving everything they can in the league, are going to miss out despite the fact they probably could do something in next years CL, but we'll see ManU or Spurs in there getting spanked after flirting with relegation. Well if it has to be one of the two, lets hope its Spurs, for obvious reason of Rivalry.
Given the relative strengths of the leagues, English teams really ought to walk the Europey now that there are no CL teams dropping by. Can't see UEFA being keen on that for long.
Very sad with the scoreline in Bilbao tonight! Having said that, Onana's potential fee, around 47 millions cost more than the entire Athletic squad. I think tonight, Athletic's emotions have got the better of them.
It is only because Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United have been totally underwhelming. Chelsea and Ratcliffe's club should only be permitted to play in the CL if they finish in CL positions as their presence in the Europa and Conference gives the entire competition a distorted appearance.
