I could have posted that many times to you and a couple of others over these past days. Works both ways fella. You and others are not helping one little bit, and to make it worse, in the run up to an incredibly important game. No problem whatsoever if someone has heard something from a reliable source that they believe might well have truth in it, if it comes across as "I've heard the following, it's from a reliable source, take it or leave it, might be true might be bollox" sort of thing. But to go so deep in with unsubstantiated rumours as if they're gospel and then seeing anyone who dare question or counter it as an arse licker, ostrich, etc , well, that's truly the work of .... a sanctimonious prick.
Club is allowed under ffp to 'lose' 39m in any rolling 3 year period. Thats completely separate to cashflow/financial issues.
The club have hardly helped themselves this week have they.... Come on even you can admit they've ****ed up royally in the week of our most important game since Scarborough in the great escape season.
You'd be a good fit for strike-breaker role, we have a big match please do not talk about crooked activities. We might lose our job, please do not strike.
Timing was unfortunate. But, you, me, none of us on here know the facts. I'm happy to believe what the likes of James Fletcher, Baz Cooper have written publicly, and what Selles said in front of the camera today, and will continue to do unless I see or hear something credible that makes me believe otherwise. Much more logical, rational and mature I think than trying to make 2+2=19, bed wet, etc etc. p.s. I'm not sure I'd go along with it being "our most important game since Scarborough in the great escape season" either. Just more OTT melodrama.
Just because you don't believe it or agree with things doesn't make it dramatic or bed wetting etc. you're happy to burrow your head in the sand and go on the info you've heard. If you're correct then it's good news for all of us and the club. As I said earlier today, I hope I'm wrong along with ST and M88. But I don't believe we are
Last game of 23/ 24 was a must win game away to Plymouth if we were to have any chance of getting in the play offs - all we had to do was go for it but instead we played Rosieball and ****ed it up - and 12 months on, here we go again needing 3 points off the final game but this time to stay up rather than go up - let's hope we actually go for it this time and don't **** it up
It was nothing to do with 'rosieball' We bottled it in 50 50s in the first 2 mins That set the tone Plymouth were battling for their lives We didnt battle Can we on saturday though?
So are you going to actually give us a clue as to what it is that makes you so sure we’re up **** creek without a paddle?
I think you’re misunderstanding my point, which was originally responding to why the EFL would possibly let city get into such a financial hole. Yes, the club can lose 39m over a three year period without any punishment from the league because they’re okay with it, but that doesn’t mean we can actually afford to lose 39m every three years. Like you say, those two things are separate. We’ll need the cashflow to pay Acun back, whether or not the league says our losses are fine, which seems to be the real crux of the problem.
Not sure they can intervene in private business finances, just sanction clubs when wages aren't paid, administration occurs, ffp is breeched or an ownership has its fit and proper status revoked. It's more reactive as opposed to preventative.
I’ve had my wages paid late a few times due to bank glitches or stupid wages staff at my employers . Could be either , didn’t mean the company was about to implode.
He’s charged with “encouraging individuals to advertise or otherwise promote fixed-odds or joint betting or gambling based on sports events”, not exactly the great train robbery.
