I'd probably put more weight on what our Hull City reporter, who speaks regularly with the owner and others in the club knows, rather than people on SM spreading wild rumours, some fella who "has been right before, has been wrong before, and is prone to exaggerate", etc!!
what purpose does causing worry and discontent on social media about the future of the club aim to achieve in the week of the biggest game in years? likes on twitter
Coz it was right at the end of the podcast, just after he'd said "we've over-run already, but just to say ..... ". If there was any basis of truth, don't you think it would have been one of, if not the, main topic for the podcast?!! People really are looking for stuff that isn't there.
You may also put that to everyone else being right or wrong at times, but they are only mentioning what they have heard and i am sure a few on here like to hear updates on what some have heard you see them asking quite a lot if they have news on things.
Well it's not as if the questions popped up out of the blue an hour into the pod mate.. he knew that they were there to be discussed and he alluded to them earlier in the ep. If they were baseless all he had to say was "There's nothing in the rumours" not "We'll address them after Pompey".... For what it's worth I completely agree with the stupidity of people floating rumours on Twitter for clout in a week when we don't need the distraction, all I said was having listened to the podcast Baz doused the flames in the meekest way possible.
No problem. I'm the same. But it's when such rumours grow legs and become treated like accepted truths even when the evidence available says different.
Really is best to wait till after saturdays game see what league the club is in then, because there is probably more scenarios this would play out if we stayed up or even if we went down.
What he said at the end is basically saying that, as far as he's aware, there's nothing in the rumours!! Anyway, that walk .....
I see both sides. Why would Baz say "I don't get any impression that Acun is going to sell the club" if it wasn't true? You would expect he would know about any solid rumours so the comment would be completely unnecessary. On the other hand, if it's completely false, then be conclusive. He did address it and that should have been it, no need for holding questions for later and then extending that by saying there's conversations to be had in both scenarios.
Apart from putting something in the pot to stew until his next podcast or news article. He a journalist (sort of) it's what they do.
Are you still talking about Acun, or the Allams? Both could have cemented their place as heroes to the City faithful and both, seemingly, did their best to **** it up.
No. Ali Koç is worth over a billion pounds on his own, **** knows about the other board members but even with promotion to the Premier League, we wouldn't have been anywhere close to richer than them. They're in the Champions League/Europa League every season as well, they're minted. They'll also make a decent wedge when En-Nesyri inevitably goes to a bigger club. Ulker absolutely would have jumped in had we been promoted, he may be one of the interested parties if Acun does move on. EDIT: Ignore the attached image. That was an API dive I did for a Destiny 2 podcast about the upcoming event and how ****e the reworked weaponry looked. It's not linked to City in any way .
"I don't get the impression" is the same thing anybody outside looking in would get. It's not going to be something that's common knowledge, even to journalists because as we've learned, a lot can happen behind the scenes that the local media can't ever see and they'll print whatever they're told, under the presupposition that they're being told the truth. I will say that on a personal level, I hope none of it happens, we stay up and we have a bit of a rethink. Not an overhaul, just a proper strategy for building up the core of the squad with quality and investing in the academy and training facilities.
In terms of what he’s done here. He’s signed about 60 players and not gradually built a squad. He’s sacked every single manager so far. Some you could argue unjustified. He bought us because we had favourable FFP. He saw it as a way of maxing out the credit card to get us in the premier league and see from there. Whether that would’ve been to flip us or bring in external investment guess we will never know. None of the actions he’s done on the field here suggest long term strategy. Constant churn of players and managers doesn’t create long term stability. That’s my point At Shelbourne and Fortuna he brought in or attempted to bring in his cronies. Shelbourne in no short terms said no so he backed out. He’s also said when appointing Selles he didn’t factor in relegation and that’s been echo’d by people here. He doesn’t have foresight. He doesn’t like being told no. The two people who probably stood up to him here are no longer here.
Ah I'm a Destiny 2 veteran, game is at a turning point, if the next expansion craps out, it's pretty much done. Which you'd think would be impossible given that Bungie were literally responsible for Halo but there we go.
Cant argue with any of that from the outside Which like i said Is a major shame If he wasnt to arrogant We could have built a great team over a few seasons Instead he acted like its fifa ultimate team And blew his shot
