if we were in the premier league, there'd be no way he'd want to sell at least in the normal way the prestige and ego one would get from owning a premier league club would be huge, although he'd be the 'poorest' prem owner by far but the sponsorships he'd get would be enormous
I remember a lot of discussion at the time of the purchase of the club about Acun selling if we got to the PL but I have no idea how I'd go about pulling it up.
if we were premier league, we'd be far richer than fenerbache wouldnt we? i feel like he wouldnt want to give that up, the mcvities man would probably have come in majorly big time etc but its all ifs and buts

Yes, there was. Wild unfounded speculation. Then he, and others around him, spoke about his intentions, on several occasions. Yet people lazily peddle the same ****. It's mad.
it does irk though that if he was less arrogant and smarter, we could build up over a few years instead of spendign so much in a short time he could have had something really special here and i def think we would have got promoted within a few years even if we are not in the **** now, we wont have the funds needed, he gambled on spending big in a short period and it didnt work
In the same m, I’ve no idea why I think that or were it came from but then I struggle to remember last week. I think regardless of it it’s true or not, he’s a business man and everything is for sale. He might say “it’s not for sale” but that’s all part of the the process isn’t it. I’m not looking to sell…..you’ll give me how much ?
Having listened to the 1904 pod I don't think Baz is as definite as some made it out to be, definitely felt like he was delaying the discussion until after Saturday.
yea i think theres two scenarios for an owner wanting to sell 1. hes actively looking for a buyer but still involved with the club 2. hes actively looking for a buyer, and pulling out almost all funding until he gets one surely we are 1 and not 2?
its a massively complex topic that can't really be disected in a paragraph but essentially, aren't consortiums the future of football club ownership now? especially clubs without the massive prem money, due to the insane costs of owning a football club
Yeah he mentioned it but I think it’s something he didn’t want to get into and fuel the fire until after the weekend when he does his (postmortem). Just my impression of course
At the end of the podcast, Baz acknowledges that he's aware "there's questions going around about the ownership, is he going to sell it, a Canadian consortium, etc". He then says "I don't get any impression that Acun is going to sell the club". How could it be any clearer what he thinks??!! He then says we'll hold those questions for a later episode / post mortem. That's simply because such speculation doing the rounds on SM needs addressing (AGAIN). Of course he could be wrong. But what he's saying he thinks (believes, knows) couldn't be any clearer. ... or maybe it's just that we have the same tooth fairy?
But that only means that the people that have mentioned things on here which they were told by who ever is the same thing (believes, knows) couldn't be any clearer.
That's true. So let's stop making **** up and self harming till then (not directed specifically at you Brady). I've had enough .... off for .... a walk
i do think all this speculation from 'club sources' does nothing but cause at best disruption before the biggest game in years lets leave the autopsy till the seasons done
He says he doesn't get the impression that he's selling and that it'd be a lot harder to sell in L1. Doesn't seem particularly definitive just that he doesn't get the impression as things stand. He doesn't say "Acun isn't selling the club" he goes for pretty much the softest form of denial you can go for. Why hold questions for later if there's no validity to them?
