    Oh my god . . . .

"An interesting game this one. Going into their three most recent games - big games, all of them - I think if Newcastle had got three points they'd have done all right. But they only got one and now all of a sudden they've got injury problems with the likes of Steven Taylor and Fabricio Coloccini, decisions are going against them, and in the space of those games they've gone from high-flyers to a team enduring a bit of a wobble.

With all that in mind, I'm going with a Norwich win. Norwich are good at home, and manager Paul Lambert will have them well prepared. He will sense Newcastle are a little low, perhaps feeling a bit sorry for themselves, and he'll probably think "let's strike while the iron's hot".

    Prediction: 2-1

Does this bloke actually know ANYTHING about football? 3 points? I was disappointed we didn't build on the draw at Old Trafford against Chelsea but it's not the end of the world.

And also, we're now on a wobble because we only got 1 point from City, Utd and Chelsea - last season's top three.

    What a joke <laugh>

He says we might be a bit low, yet recent articles in the Chronicle and other sites say we're still full of confidence and on a high <laugh>

Think we played a hell of a lot better in those games than the scorelines suggest. We may not have our best defence available but (and I mean no offence whatsoever to Norwich, not taking anything away from them) Norwich's strike force don't quite meet up to ManC's, Chelsea's and ManU's now do they.

    Silly Lawro.

    But, <diva>

<laugh> He cracks me up. He predicted us to lose all three games didn't he? Now he's basically saying we're **** because we did better than he expected us to?!

The man is an idiot. That's why they've got him doing football predictions, because they're ****ing easy any simpleton can do them. And even most simpletons would do a better job than him.

  12. Don't be angry, when Lawro's predicts us a loss, we usually get a good result!!!

Also, "Norwich a good side at home" is a funny statement. No clean sheets, and they've only beaten Swansea, QPR and Sunderland, should have lost against Blackburn, they drew with Stoke and lost vs WBA.

    Great home side indeed....

Merson's predictions have been pretty fair for a while now, certainly miles better than Lawro's.

Aye. Credit to them for being confident, but with our form against 'lower' teams this season I certainly wouldn't be that confident. I'm guessing a draw for this game.

His comments are hardly that strange. We were unbeaten before those 3 games. We got one point from them, lost a number of key players, and now have an away game with 2 crap CBs. I'd say a home victory is a pretty reasonable prediction.

Have not seen any of Norwich's matches but they might of put in good performances but just not got the results. It is like if you just take the results from our last three matches you would think we have been put in our place and been easily beaten, but in actual fact our performances have been good and we have just not quite got the results we could of.

Have you seen our form against teams in the lower half of the table though? Whilst it suggests a win, a draw would be a reasonable result.

Thank **** for that!!!!! It means we'll win.

Even that aside I've already got the feeling we'll win this game and win well.

    Ba hatrick. simple as that.
