I do like Salah’s honesty. Easier once you’ve won the league obviously but he knows his records. He knows prem records, he knows lfc records. He knows what he needs to win it. 2 assists in the next 4 games is needed to get that 20/20 season and do what only Henry has done in the prem.
Slot paying respect to Jurgen by leading the chant. I think that sums up Slot. He’s come in and he knows he taking over from an absolute legend but hasn’t tried to copy him, hasn’t tried to pretend he’s better than him and lent into the fact that the fans love him, but there’s no reason that they can’t love them both.
Interesting that in the Liverpool Museum they have a separate part just for Jurgen. I think they should have a separate area to celebrate the achievements of Shankly, Paisley and Dalglish.
Just back from the pub (couldn’t watch this one at home). Had the whole pub (well the red part) of the pub singing - tried to tell my lad that he was watching history and don’t let it pass by quietly but I think it just came out as a slurry rant. Songs were good fun mind.
I watched it in a small pub in a quiet place in the the London Borough of Sutton, were 10 Liverpool fans loudly applauding everything at the end.
