I don't know how allocation is distributed, but they got one whole top tier section empty. They ought to have condensed it down and opened up more tickets for Forest fans who were a sell out. Although I expect that's easier said than done.
Let's be honest, there's going to be a smaller viewing audience for the FA Cup final than there was for the League Cup final. We all know it.
Palace v Forest would sell out. Don't know about tv audience figures what they are these days, I'd expect FA Cup would attract more worldwide than the Mickey Mouse Cup.
Figures don't seem easy to get hold of tbh (unless I'm looking in the wrong places). At the ground itself it's sure to always be a sell out as it's the FA Cup final and doesn't matter who's in it. Domestically around 8 million watched the League Cup final this year and just over 8 million watched the FA Cup final last year - between Man Utd and Man City. I suspect it'll be lower this year and domestically more people will have watched the League Cup final but internationally you'd indeed have to imagine the FA Cup gets bigger numbers.
Depends more on the KO time and teams involved than the competition I’d have thought. United or Liverpool will mean more people.
State of this ****. Look at me, look how passionate I am. And the BBC lap this ****e up ( second story behind a women's game though, obvs)
Returned 5000 tickets apparently. No idea what the tickets cost but if you’ve been to a million finals and it’s £60 or whatever plus an extortionate train fare I get waiting for the likely final. Same as Arsenal not selling out midweek. We’re being taken for mugs but particularly the tourist clubs.
I'm glad Liverpool are going to wrap this up today, I couldn't be doing with a week of news about how the Tottenham bus was bricked and bottled if they'd managed to win today.
