The article below refers to extracts from the recent Jan Molby column in the Liverpool Echo where Molby thought the use of Suarez was probably where Liverpool came unstuck at Fulham last Monday night.

I think Carrol's lack of impact thus far this season means his comments are right and mean Suarez as a centre forward picks itself this weekend. Big game, must win for the Reds.

only problem is suarez is not an out n' out goal scorer...

i'd like to see him out on the right but with a free role,

with carroll and then bellers on the left.

    with maxi in behind carroll

One of the issues with signin Carroll, 90% of teams/defences like playin against the big tall CF these day, they dont like playin against pace.there are things you can do defensively , plans you can put out to nullify the Carroll threat, pace is much tougher to defend against.Carroll shouldnt have played aginst the aerially strong Hangeland with no pace,Bellamy shudda played CF, with Kuyt wide

And there are a lot of similar teams to Fulham who dont like pace, but love the aerial stuff

Theres probaly 1 PL defence in 8 who would prefer to defend against pace rather than height, where Carroll is ideal

hes scored 4 goals, play him up front... how have you worked that out?

he needs to be deeper where defenders cannot pick him up. (in the hole).

    IMO

I agree with Hash on this, I think he is a goal scorer and would like to play someone with him (Bellamy) or supporting him (Maxi). I think the problem at times this season is that he is too deep due to the formation played or up front alone.

Each to their own opinion though.

Suarez plays deep for us, and doesn't score much, because no one else is capable of doing the creative job. Support him with quality players and he'll score for fun.

I'd like to see him on the 10 metre board - he'd be able to get somersaults and back flips and everything in then
