Medium sized 'if' I reckon ... ... none of the playoff sides did anywhere near enough to be promoted. Even those desperate for points have been poor.
…apart from Sheff United who’ve won 91 points! (Started with -2) They’re just unlucky that there’s been 2 top sides in the league also. It’s been a freak season in terms of sides at the top.
The owner of Newcastle has never been and probably never will ... ... it would totally give the game away
They've lost 10 games, Bristol City have only lost 11 ... ... nowhere near good enough. And their recent form isn't good, very little momentum.and may lose again next week against Blackburn who have to win.
Putting my bias toward Sunderland to one side... If someone/group wanted to invest in a decent size football club in the UK with enormous potential, then I would have thought SAFC would be very on any list. We have incredible stadium, world class academy and training facilities and a fan base most clubs even in the Premier league can only dream of. We are a one club city with an enormous catchment area and ( not sure this makes any difference) a history that is the envy of most clubs..... If only I had the money
Completely agree..... probably the only negative, wrong description in my mind, for investors is were about as far as you can get from London. We need investors who dont see that as an issue & view part of the potential being tourist fans...... We need sports loving investors Appreciate the mags got the investment being up here...... But i think theres a very good reason why they were the 'chosen ones' by their regime!!
Previous possible investors, let’s just say ‘in my opinion’, were shocked that a city and a 50,000 capacity stadium, for matches/concerts/etc, has such poor Metro and train links/facilities. Strangers arriving for concerts especially need to find a place they’ll want to return to … … not a trudge through town, crossing a very busy road, over a crowded bridge and round the back of the Deaf Club. It’s like a midden, then you emerge onto a narrow bridge with hot dog queues and cars trying to barge their way through. The footbridge will help but there’s still a long way to go.
Absolutely mate, the regeneration will play a massive part with the right investor looking at us, even the train station upgrade, hopefully...... It has to UK transportation improves, even now tbf, think its around 2hrs 40 to kings cross...... Were not that far away & will get 'closer' for those willing to look outside of the box In all honesty, you (presume) like me would hate investors looking at us thinking oh look at the potential to increase tourist fans....... Thats NOT this club, we want to continue attracting fanatical support......never an easy ride with this club but if we ever achieve something it will be deserved & enjoyed, looked back upon greatly with the graft KLD has put in to shape us the proper way rather than the expectation of success by throwing aimless money as per Ellis Short
I was answering your original point ... 'They’re just unlucky that there’s been 2 top sides in the league also.' Now you're saying something entirely different. Losing almost a quarter of your games, as an automatic promotion contender, isn't unlucky.
