OK, so we've laid the foundations and at last beaten some of our rivals, now we need to kick on. Cov will be desperate for a result, but their club is in such disarray at the moment if we get at them they will surely fold. They haven't won at all for 2 months and that was against a very poor Forest side (at the time managed by some Dutch Twit!) If we are not going to waste our victories over Leicesteristan and Brum this must be a win. So to the team I say "Where are you??? Lets be avin you!" please log in to view this image
Well they dont keep clean sheets and a quick Hull City goal and I agree they will disintigrate. I am going to keep an eye on Jutkiewicz as he would be perfect for City. He is waisted @ Coventry. Could get him on the cheap in Jan. As for Coventrys side who else do they have that can hurt City ? Hulls biggest worry is ourselves. Treat them like Leicester City and sound away win. Be sloppy as like against Burnley and it could be embarrassing. Keeping up with my optimistic nature these days, IF WE GET AN EARLY GOAL, then i am going for at least 3-0 Hull. nb. maybe we can do a deal for him after the game. Adam take the Allams cheque book with you.
I have just read NB's comments in the Fail and I think he will have this game planned out with how he wants to play. He might play it down but he'll definitely be going there expecting to pick up the points. Have to say that his handling of the media and the way he talks about players expressing themselves is an absolute joy. I read everything that Barmby says and you really get a sense that we (the fans) are so important to him, it really is a joy to read and listen to Barmby.
Cov aren't too shabby at home though, they were unlucky against Leicester and West Ham and got results against teams who were in form like Blackpool and Cardiff. We have to treat this like a difficult game or else well get turned over and I'll get abused.
They don't lose by big scores though do they though. Wonder how that Jutkiewicz is in a free flowing team. I was checking his stats yesterday and he would be worth looking at. It's the effect of the three games in 7 days which might have an influence on performance.
i dont like playing teams in this sort of run, i always fear the law of averages has to turn for them....mind you i used that as a reason we wouldnt lose at soton...
Having been turned down by Sharp already and considering his recent comments about repaying Donny, I wouldn't be surprised if they'd decided to back off.
following on from that, apparently jutkiewicz is also from Southampton and a boyhood Saints fan. there was talk about him moving before the loan deadline with a permanent to follow in january so it certainly looks a matter of time before does join them. think tomorrow will be much trickier than meets the eye. as pointed out they were unforunate against west ham and led for a while before west ham scored twice to turn things around.
yes but if they go behind early then the old mantra kicks in. but the Tigers will have to be on there game for sure. well if Jutky wants to go home who can blame him. that leaves the door open for us to get either Maynard or Sharp ? maybe both ? que olm's reply now.......lol.
I was thinking the same thing. Mid-week games are often played on Tuesdays, but ours was Wednesday, which gives us less time to recover and prepare. Cov didn't have a mid-week game so may be fresher??
with most of our team being young it should not affect them much. maybe Dawson may feel it more than anyone though. but there is always Dudgeon to come on and add freshness as well as a caged tiger in Garcia. its much easier to play 3 games in 8 days when your winning.
They ran West Ham very close recently, Big Sam was full of praise for them. They also took a point off Cardiff recently so tomorrow will be no easy game, but I think we'll have enough to win this 2-0. As long as we keep working hard and avoid complacency we'll be OK.
