Ah Wrexham, the fairytale of multimillionaire owners, paying players thousands a week in the Northern league, sponsorship from a billion dollar company, world wide fame on Disney, signing players from leagues above. It's amazing what can happen. lol
That's nonsense, no one has said anything like that today. Can we keep to the thread topic and not start having a go at other posters as usual.
Completely agree that flicking a switch is unlikely but we’ve all got to hope it happens. We gain nothing by saying it’s all over now, when it isn’t. Today was poor and the signs are not great. But those playoff semis are the games that matter.
I know but that doesn't mean we won't go up ... ... if I didn't believe it's possible what's the point? Sheff Utd's form has been poor, Coventry have gone to pieces, Boro couldn't score against Norwich at home, Bristol lost at Luton a few days ago ... ... someone has to go up, why not us?
Tbf I’m definitely a bit deflated at the moment but the other play off teams are very hot and cold. We just need to turn it on for a couple of games and we’re there. Still keeping a bit of faith
How do Coventry flick their switch on ... ... the have players, on the bench, their supporters have never heard of. The playoffs are a lottery and we have a ticket ... ... Coventry haven't even bought one yet.
Personally I swerved the game today had more important stuff to sort out. Not suprised we lost and honestly couldn't give a **** about today's result. Also couldn't give a **** about next Saturdays result. I'll still go next week but will have limited emotional investment in it. If we are ****e and put in 2 stinkers in the play off semis however I will give a **** and will be absolutely devastated. I resigned myself to playoffs months ago so haven't really been arsed with results or performances the last few months. All that said I definitely will give a **** in 2 weeks time. If we make Wembley it's been a relatively successful season. If we win at Wembley it's been a very successful season. Fail to get to Wembley from where we were however and questions should justifiably be asked. Personally ill reserve my judgement until our final kick of the season.
Just some more stuff on Roberts. 3204 minutes played, started 37 games and has featured in all but 1 game (Millwall away). 55.6 touches per90 4.16 touches in the opposition box per90 2 goals 76 shots 39 shots from outside the box 37 inside 17 shots on target (22%) 2 penalties (scored 1/2) 2 shots from counter attacks 2.6% shot conversion rate 4.1 non penalty xG from 74 non penalty shots 0.05 non penalty xG per shot 7 assists 5.94 xA 64 chances created 0.09 xA per chance created 70 successful dribbles 48.3% dribble success rate Dispossessed 1.35 times per90 1.04 fouls won per90 You can't have a player who touches the ball that much in a game yet produces that little. Pathetic footballer. Not one of them stats are good. One of the highest paid players in the squad yet he's good at nothing. **** off.
It's not that mate it's the those fans wearing rose tinted glasses and the willingness to see that some players are just not good enough.
And Wrexham will be in premier league before us, like Brentford, Bournemouth, Brighton another cave in by these players. this goes back to Murray and is still going on
Again I've not seen any of the game today so maybe not in best place to comment but let's not forget Oxford really needed to win today and we didn't. Even if mentally the players thought they were fully ready it will still have been in their minds that today was effectively to us a friendly but to Oxford it was make or break. At a professional level there's only a couple of % either way in quality levels of players therefore them being 100% at it compared to us being 90% at it really will make a difference. If folk want to lose there **** over this then crack on. Myself I'm just gonna chill and hope to god in 2 weeks when it matters we show up.
