they will want to make sure theyre in the playoffs and they wont want to face sheff u in the semis and even if they do lose we will beat derby anyway
i reckon Sheff utd or Sunderland are the teams you do want in the semis, Sunderland been guaranteed play offs for week, and just killing time , Sheff utd slightly down about automatic. i wouldnt be surprised if one of 5th/6th comes into playoffs and wins it this year.
Sunderland have said they'll start ramping up from this week, playing strongest side etc. so I actually think they're primed for play offs, Sheff Utd might be a bit run off their feet.
i reckon its hard just to say that though and kick in to gear , when they havent had that much to play for now physcologically for weeks. will be interesting to see what happens.
Yeah it's almost unheard of to be in their position so will be an interesting experiment. They had that gun midfielder they signed injured for ages too so he was only ever going to be back available now anyway.
(oops, meant for Derby thread, but never mind!!) Nice little story there .... https://x.com/HullCity/status/1915678622116889058 “Earlier on in the day, I’d just had my second child and my first daughter, Chloe, so I was already on a high and we had beaten Watford away too. I've never said this before, but on the back of our shirt at the time, we had GemTec on the bottom, but all my letters fell off, except for G and C, and I called my daughter Chloe Grace,” explained Doyle. “The two initials at the bottom that were left on the shirt were G and C and Caleb Folan asked me ‘what did I call my daughter’ and I said ‘Chloe Grace.’ He just went 'look at your shirt’ and he was like ‘it's a sign.’ That's why I scored. I was so excited and it was a great experience. I will never forget as well, because on Twitter, it says I scored that goal on Chloe’s birthday!
