Just my interpretation and I may be totally wrong, but... Following Promotion, Daniel Farke has been gaining support from within the club. Daily Mail (the unofficial mouth piece for 49ers Enterprises) are leaked a story by the owners to quell the momentum so when Farke is sacked, it comes as no surprise. I've been told (have no idea how true this is) that fans, and more importantly sponsors rip into Marathe over both the decision to let Farke go and the timing. Those supporting Farke from 49ers Enterprises go through Beren Cross at The New York Times/Athletic to dispel the rumours that Farke is leaving, insinuating he'll be at Elland Road next season.
