How long did the allams have us for sale and we was in a better state financially than we are now id imagine. I’m not sure I want him gone, he’s made mistakes but as I’ve said before, every window he funds the rebuild. He’s just not getting the rebuild/recruitment right. There won’t be a queue to buy us, he’s probably as stuck with us as some on here as as stuck with him. I’d imagine his only hope of getting a decent fee for us is in the top half of the championship. Let’s hope we don’t get relegated and find out the alternative
There are only 2 more home matches. All done this time next week. The next wave could be a wave goodbye.
If we win monday against PNE, next home game he will be at stadium like conqueror general of Rome waving everyone and will arrange a follow up Q&A. You will see him more.
I’d just like him to appoint a proper manager instead of all these chancers. If he’d have just done that from the start there’s no way we’d be where we find ourselves now.
So, hypothetically speaking of course - given the potential legal battles, his various business interests, and football investments - if push came to shove with a need to streamline, could Acun smoke Maribor?
Some actual Zambrano content for the Zambrano thread. Guessing thats a good sign that he's publicly posted training pics?
Don't look too far will you, this is their official website https://www.nkmaribor.com/ He wrote this 2 days ago on it: Dear fans! I want to speak to you directly – not with grand statements, but from the heart. The last few weeks have been tough. I feel the same level of depression as you. I watch the games the same way you do and when we don't play the way Maribor should play, it hurts. I didn't come here to settle for mediocre performances. I came here to build something special with you. But I also want you to know this: I have not lost faith. Not in this team, not in this club, and certainly not in the people of Maribor. I have had the opportunity to meet many of you – on the streets, in the stadium. I hear your concerns. And I feel your passion. This passion is what makes this club unique. We work hard every day – not just for a better result response, but with the future in mind. We are already making plans for the summer, looking for the right players and growing through everything we experience here. We learn from the rich history of this club, from the spirit of this city and from the culture that surrounds Maribor. This shapes our path – not just the difficulties, but the legacy that we want to honor and carry forward. I know it's hard to be patient when you really care. But please believe me - I'm here for the long haul. I want this club to be a symbol of pride again. And I want to do it with you. Not over you. But with you. Thank you for staying loyal to the club, even in times when it's not easy. Thank you for your voice, your honesty and your love. We see it, we feel it and we will fight for it - together! With love and respect, Acun Ilcal
I understand a statement like this now from him to us would do more damage than good at this point but where has this been the last 3 months. Since Selles’ appointment his silence has been so strange
Similar. I don't want him to go anywhere. There ain't half some ridiculous talk from some on here, seemingly wanting to put the future of our club at risk and plunge it into utter chaos. Some of us have seen that too many times in the past thanks. I do however want Acun to continue to learn from the mistakes that have been made, of which he's ultimately responsible for of course, but have more often that not been made by those he's delegated to. I also want us to for once get something like decent luck. I thought we'd finally got a good un with Selles. I'm no longer convinced, but, there's still time for him to convince. Not meaning just these next 3 games, as crucial as they are; he needs summer and into next season to show what he's really about. Similar with Dublin.
Zambrano’s ban has been reduced. He will be available in November. Not sure if that means he will be signed or not.
It was shared on an Ecuadorian journalist whatsapp group that I’m a part of. They said that in the upcoming days Hull City and LDU Quito will issue a joint statement on it.
