From the river to the sea

 

Just paid £12.40 for fish, chips and a carton of curry sauce. Mortified.

Used to get that for less than a tenna when I was a chippy regular.

 

My local chippy is 3.50 for small chips and 11£ for a cod.

They don't even cut the chips themselves ffs

 

Pizza oven had it's first outing last night - second tonight!!



Ardennes Smoked Salami, capers, red onions, mozzarella and a Marzano tomato sauce ... was lovely...

Even better with the addition of fresh Jalapeño to Smoked Ardennes Salami, Capers, Mozarella, Red Onion and San Marzano tomato base ...

 

I know, I know ... third night in a row is over indulgent ... but I needed to use all the ingredients up so this has an outer ring of pepperoni added and is max loaded ... absolutely the business- best yet!

 

For £7 I got two bacon, two sausages, two eggs, hash browns, black pudding, beans, tomato and toast from the butcher to take away. Should have taken a pic.

 

Poached is my fave.

 

Can't find @luvgonzo barbecue thread, but first go on the gas one at home tonight.

 

Not doing it this year it rains too much.
