So trip to Cardiff, good and bad. Started okay Mrs luv wanted to go to the roof bar at The Botanist. Decent enough Then on to The Head of Steam which is a cracking craft beer bar and had a nice pint. This is where it goes wrong. I'm happy to have another but Mrs luv wants to find another place. We try a few but I'm not drinking Coors or Carling so it's not going well. I suggested Brewdog out of desperation and Mrs luv is getting annoyed at me turning down pubs. We're the only ones in there and some surly bloke serves us. Mrs luv's pint of cider is flat (not supposed too be) I mention it and the bloke pours a little into another glass and says no it's not. I walk off and try it give it to Mrs luv and it's flat so I take back. He's got an attitude and said what other one do you want then but it's on the same gas? Kept calm but said okay just give me a refund and we'll go somewhere else. He ****s about for a bit and can't sort it, I tell her to go **** himself and we leave. Great meal after that though. Hate Cardiff still.
So I've discovered that if you heat milk in the microwave a little bit too much, then poor it into a glass, it can erupt like a volcano all over the kitchen and burn the back of your hand in the process.
Only time I get a costa is from a machine in sainsburys with a meal deal, the coffee would be like 4 quid anyway so a sandwich and a wispa gold with a coffee for that same p makes sense. Thats if I decide to pay for it.
Better independent places about. I was just grabbing a coffee expecting it to be not too bad and was very wrong.

Nah ... Harris & Hoole is better - that's why Nero kept the brand name after buying it from Tesco ... otherwise they would just have changed the outlets to 'Nero' ... not kidding - was in on the deal, back in the day ...
Forgot to mention I worked in costa coffee in the old earls court exhibition center, went home everyday with about 40quid from the till and then swapped a load of old score notes in one of the floats in my last week. Was a nice earner cos I only paid 200 for 2k of old 20s. Was like a month or two after the banks stopped taking the old ones. Thats a deal mate
Happy St George’s Day which apparently isn’t actually St George’s Day because it can’t be the week after Easter to all who celebrate or don’t celebrate because it’s not today even if it really is.
