Morning all - Was a dry cold clear morning when I left Bandit Country with a big almost full moon hanging in the night sky, but even though it was 2C there was no frost or ice. Day is just breaking in West West London and it looks to be another clear day with not a cloud in sight.

There was an excellent programme on BBC4 on Weds night about Bell Ringing called "Come Bell Ringing with Charles Hazlewood" - it is repeated again tonight on BBC 4 at 20.00. I highly recommend watching it, fascinating and at the end the music is awesome...great TV from the BBC.

Picking up Little Miss W_Y from Uni this afternoon, home for Xmas and to be spoilt....

Good morning all, I moved 31 years ago today and set the radio alarm clock for 5.00am as the removal men were coming at 7.00am and still had jobs to do. As the alarm clock went off the news came on and I was awakened to hear that John Lennon had been shot dead during the night. I remember spending the day in a bit of a dull surreal haze but the move went well, such a sad loss - I just can't believe it was 31 years ago. Life passes so quickly.

John Lennon had talent but I did not like his music with the Beatles or after. I preferred George Harrison from the group. For British groups in the 1960s are only two The Yardbirds and The Kinks.

I have a Google window and it makes a spell check for me.

Morning, good news so far on the boiler front. The guys were due to start at 8am and turned up at 7:45am, if their work is as good as their punctuality then I will be recommending them to one and all. <ok>

The Yardbirds - now there was a group (a bit like a musical Watford) took on young talent and developed them. Never really got the credit they deserved.
Keith Relf - lead vocals, harmonica
Anthony "Top" Topham - lead guitar
    Chris Dreja - rhythm guitar
Paul Samwell-Smith - bass, backing vocals
Jim McCarty - drums, backing vocals
    Eric Clapton - lead guitar
Jeff Beck - lead guitar, backing vocals
    Jimmy Page - bass, guitar
Jim McCarty - drums, backing vocals, percussion
Robert Plant - lead vocals, harmonica
    John Paul Jones - bass
    John Bonham - drums

When they split in the end half of them became Led Zeppelin
