Tell you what though, he ran himself into the ground and closed their defenders down. His tank was empty when that breakaway chance fell to him. Won the deciding penalty too. He might never score for us, but he gave his best today and contributed.
I think that's exactly the thing with him. He is very talented, but I think he struggles to keep up a level of intensity. I think that's what stops him being a PL player.
I'm not so sure about that at the moment. Selles has alluded to him having a knock that's needing to be managed.

Didn't think first half was as bad as a lot are making out. I thought he was always behind the defender so his age didn’t really come into it, but he battled and nearly got it anyway. I was surprised how sharp he looked (Amrabat) and he’s certainly difficult to dispossess. I agree it was a lovely ball to him that nearly came off though.
