I’m honestly not surprised. It’s ridiculous that they aren’t in the play-offs

Be interesting who they go after now.

think the summer will be a very busy time for clubs.

    on and off the field

There seems to be proper spite in that sacking mind. Sacked a few hours after they become mathematically out of playoffs

feels like it’s supporter placation. Would have been more decent of them to let him manage the final 2 games. Especially considering his history with them and also what he’s been through recently

they’ve got nothing to play for so don’t need a quick turnaround in results.

feels like shifting the blame on him and trying to wipe their own hands of any mistakes

Their owners will be furious, I’d imagine

He was backed January - 2 forwards signed from the PL. One of them being Armstrong who is excellent at this level

1 win from 8 is pathetic, especially for a side towards the top.

I'm surprised that Watford haven't pulled the trigger yet. They aren't usually this patient with managers.
At least Cleverly is getting his excuses in early :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Watford boss Tom Cleverley told BBC Radio Three Counties:
"The sending off was a complete guess from the referee.
"This level of football when you make a big decision you have to get it right. Kevin (Keben) gets the ball and it's a really disappointing decision.
"We seem to be suffering a lot of red cards and in a hostile environment here I think he has sided with the home side.
"We must play well in our last two games to finish the season well, it's been a really tough period.
"I don't think there is enough consequences at this club for not doing your job at times; some people deserved to come off today. I'll be much more demanding in the next two weeks for sure."

He always starts off by saying he doesn’t want to talk about the referee <laugh>

Completely deserved. Feel bad for him and what he's been through but I must admit I don't particularly like him. Think he took over in 5th, was backed with some good signings in January yet now has them in midtable. Almost as if you need real tactics not just individuals to carry you to results.

Have a rest up Tony. Dont take the first offer that comes, maybe dont take any. Nobody can knock your career in mgt imo, well they can but would be wrong. Walk away and enjoy retirement. Maybe go on sky and shake your head at some of those tactical geniuses like Neville and Carragher <laugh><laugh>

Will always remember his time here affectionately. We played some brilliant football under him and making the play offs first season back was a brilliant achievement. Maybe a bit more luck with defensive injuries and we might have gone to Wembley again.

I love the fella. Dont want to see him doing a Bruce and dropping down the divisions. He is better than that.

Id love to see him get the chance to manage Boro. Firstly for sentimental reasons and secondly because I think it would be one less promotion rival next year :D

I must say when I watched him on the touchline recently he looked a but tired. Who knows what his health challenges took out of him. He clearly loves the game and would have been keen to go again. I just remember a vibrant touchline manager when he was with us. Always cajoling his players, applauding and giving the thumbs up. Of having that expression of joy when we scored one of our brilliant goals. I will always remember his reaction when Rigg scored his first league goal. It was a beautiful moment.

To be honest, if he could get his head/ego in the space to do it, he’d be an incredible personal development coach in an academy

If he's ready to take a step back, I actually think he'd make an excellent assistant for Carrick.
