It's a must win game, very little room now for a bad performance. I still think Slater is better further forward, I would try Puerta & Alzate and Slater ahead of them. Slater set up two good chances against Coventry for Palmer and Coyle, he does pick up so good positions in the box. Joseph on the left and Kamara on the right, with Gelhardt up front. However, likely to go with Gelhardt behind Pedro, with Joseph and Kamara on the wings and either Slater or Puerta alongside Alzate. Looking forward to the game, but very nervously.
Despite the fact that he has been crap recently, Pedro has to start up front for me. Otherwise, who is going to hold the ball up for us? Joseph can't do that - it's not his game. Happy for Joseph to play out wide, though.

Admittedly I didn’t see Swansea but since Selles we’ve clearly progressed and would be absolutely fine with a squad riddled with injuries, very very unlucky this season coupled with some poor planning has resulted in this mess. City to win 2-0, safety to be all but secured and next season with Zambrano/Miller/Belloumi/Matazo and maybe Barry back we will be pushing for it. UTT.

I dont think theres any problems with us not caring enough We just need to be better with the ball Which is easier said than done But i have faith We dont have the ability atm to have a 90 min performance We need to manage the moments in games Its very fine margins with this team Crowd need to actually make noise for once perhaps Hughes will have a beast of a game 1-0 city

You change from holding the ball up to running in behind. Something Pedro can't do. Im not saying drop Pedro or keep him starting. It's just a different option I love Pedro but his lack of pace is a real problem and makes it so easy for defenders. Personally I'd only drop him if it meant Gelhardt up front

We tried that against Luton and we were woeful, which is why I would start Pedro. Not saying it's perfect by any means but for me it's the least worst option at the moment.

At this point in the season it's impossible to make predictions about a game, who knows what might happen? However as a counter to all the doom and gloom, Preston fans are even more negative about their team than we have been about ours. In all the iterations of the form tables we are ahead of them, the only one where it's close is last six where we have identical records. 0-0 then?
