I don’t know whether he’s even here at the moment, but you can imagine him asking around the club for a nice local restaurant. “So, Cerutti’s you say?”
He says I don't expect him to see until end of season, may be he is implying that himself (Selles) won't be around next season, so only focused on current one.
If Sellés is sacked by Acun because the football since the international break has been poor and because some on social media have been critical of Sellés, then I want Acun out. If he does another Q&A after, I’ll tell him to his face. I don’t want someone that irrational and fickle running this club no matter how many free holidays he gives to his sycophants.
Surely the last thing we need is to be on the managerial merry-go-round again, whatever league we end up in.
I'd bet he will fire 100% in case of relegation, not sure about if we can save ourselves though. They will definitely sit down and talk though, I don't see his position guaranteed.
He 100% sacks him if we go down. It would be another short term decision as well. And we will go round the block again about whether it was the right decision or not.
We've been piss poor in the last few games and some of Selles decisions have been questionable, but we need some stability next season regardless of which league we're in. A few key incomings and a few key outgoings. Need to start next season on the front foot whether we're in League 1 or the Championship. The amount of squad change and how late we did our business last summer is what's killed our season more than anything else. That was largely in our control and we royally shot ourselves in the foot. Injuries etc, yes - doesn't help, but we gutted near enough any quality out of the squad and replaced it all with 'potential' at best. We've seen glimpses of quality with some of the squad, but there's minimal cohesion between the players which doesn't help things either. It's just been a total mess this season, giving us such a big mountain to climb from before a ball was kicked.
To be fair I think if Belloumi, Zambrano and Millar had played the majority of the season we'd be comfortably mid-table.
I'm not sure what interest Acun has these days. He rarely gets,a mention. Does he still come to the home games
Just for balance, I don't think Acun would, or should, sack him IF we do go down. He'll know we need stability. He'll also know we've had dreadful luck with injuries and with too many key moments. Not saying Selles has been great; over recent weeks I don't think he has, we seem to have gone backwards, and a lot of that has to fall at his doorstep. We need to reset during summer, make fewer but more astute signings, and give Selles and his assistants chance to show us what they can do. I honestly think Acun will allow that to happen this time, irrespective of division.
Selles needs to be given the start of next season at least, whether acun will be here to make that decision is probably the more pertinent question
