ok so to answer on why. 1. we miss the target way too much... a lot of players simply are firing it wide... suarez likes to hit it early but he also does just miss the target. carroll can be as bad... adam keeps just missing the target, downing shoots and it seems to hit a post or bar. 2. we play in front of sides. its rare for us to get in behind and turn a side... this is mainly because our mooted wingers actually play way infield and our full backs just end up double teamed. 3. we were playing too deep when carragher was in. 4. we made bad errors at the back (like reina v norwich, and fulham) and so results that could have been narrow wins ended up draws or worse. 5. the aforementioned lack of work struck at spurs and swansea... we were bad v swansea. so there you have it.... one of these days every shot will go in and we'll win big but all in all its difficult to see when as we don't quite get past those spots where we're just easy to defend. so all in all....
banter = good. qpr are in good form so i am thinking barton is the key man really.... last year parker for west ham destoyed us for 70mins and we lost... this year we're strengthened but have no lucas so barton might have a field day. I wonder how carroll and suarez might match up v their CBs and really can't see what kenny will pick...
lee mason might put manners on him though.... he's an awful shoveller of cards. barton might rub some up the wrong way but he's got heart too.
This should be a good warm-up match to prepare us for facing the best team in Britain the following week.
I'm glad he's our's too. That's the thing though he polarises opinion's, when he first came to us we all thought 'what the f#ck?!', but I reckon 90 percent of us are more than happy with him. If he ever managed you lot , you would (may!) feel the same. I loathed him for many years.
KK and the team have promised that we will give somebody a good spanking - let's hope it's Saturday. I have to wait until 11pm on Saturday to see it LIVE, so I'm hoping for a good late piss-up!!
8 year old has just played the game on fifa 09 liverpool 2..qpr 8 goalscorers were gerard x2 ledesma hall agyemang x2 buzsakyx2 and blackstock x2
Looking forward to this match for ages as if we turn up on the day then I know pool supporters will appreciate the way we stroke it around . Any chance of keeping Barton up there as his culture injection seems to have gone to his head down here Could be a cracker this one
Just shows how stupid those computer games really are: Firstly that an 8 year old can play it Secondly that such a score could be possible! Trouble is NW make just believe it - I'd love to see him cry on the touchline whn the scores are reversed!!
pity it was fifa 09.... not quite sure but that would have a right funny set of teams..... I bet you set it to pro on him and he never realised.
Kenny Got It Wrong at Fulham Insists Liverpool Legend Jan Molby Liverpool’s 1-0 loss to Fulham at Craven Cottage last Monday night was marred by the Luis Suarez ‘incident’ but as for the game itself, it’s one that Liverpool legend Jan Molby believes reds manager Kenny Dalglish got wrong. “I understand what Kenny Dalglish was trying to do with the 4-3-3 formation. He wanted to get as many of his best players in the side as possible but in hindsight I think it was a mistake.” He wrote in his column for the Liverpool Echo. A late Clint Dempsey goal sealed the win for the Londoners, extending Liverpool’s winless run in the Premier League to two games and Molby felt Dalglish’s use of Suarez was pivotal to the outcome. “I didn’t like seeing Suarez shoved out to the left. He has to play centrally because he puts fear into defenders.” Liverpool will be hoping to get their Champions League aspirations back on track tomorrow afternoon, when they host last season’s Championship winners QPR at Anfield. iReader http://sportales.com/soccer/kenny-got-it-wrong-at-fulham-insists-liverpool-legend-jan-molby/
Would love to put a few past Colin ****er's team. Hope we start off a winning streak. 1-0 or 10-0 I don't care!
not quite sure i agree with molby as simply put we should have won it handy but we were more muddled in central midfield than up top. they had joy on our right side. 4-3-3 can work and suarez can work in it... a 442 at fulham was in danger of being blown off the part as they play 4-2-3-1...
Liverpool's provisional squad: Reina, Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Enrique, Kuyt, Adam, Henderson, Downing, Suarez, Bellamy, Doni, Kelly, Carragher, Coates, Shelvey, Coady, Rodriguez, Carroll.
