I posted the same on ****ty stats earlier this morning. The Beeb sport article also pointed out Leicester's current run of eight games without a goal at home equals that of Manchester City in May 2007. So with table-toppers Liverpool next to visit, a new record could very well be set. We're not alone in rewriting the record books. Their fall from grace has been from a far greater height than ours.
Sorry, must have missed your earlier post.

Three points currently separate 13th and 17th. Shame it's totally meaningless, beyond a bit of prize money.

They might still go on to lose this, but I swear whenever Ipswich win or are winning they always seem to be massively out performing their xG. They’ve had 2 shots on target against Chelsea so far and scored both.

So Leicester are 17 points (and GD) behind with 18 points left.

Looks like they're getting relegated next Sunday. It should just be a case of what time that day - either just before they KO against Liverpool (Wolves play before them) or at FT against Liverpool.

It's also possible that Ipswich get relegated on the same day.

You must be the one viewer watching the Newcastle game. Everyone else watching Madrid-Arsenal. <laugh>
Watching another awful penalty!

On the replay I think Pope plays Eze at his own game. He feints to dive then stops himself to go back the other way.

Ipswich can no longer be mathematically relegated tomorrow, thanks to our equaliser. But there is still a fair chance that they'll end the weekend 15 points behind with only 15 points left and a hugely worse goal difference.

Leicester will be relegated tomorrow unless they beat Liverpool.

Not that it's any consolation, but even if any of us three were semi-component, it wouldn't change anything. For the 17th placed side to be on 36 points after 33 games, that's generally too much in any season. Since Wigan went down with 36 points way back in 2012-13, only once has a relegated side got more than 35 points (which was Newcastle with 37).

It's possible that 17th might finish with a points total in the 40s.
