Rosenior has done an excellent job at Strasbourg. They obviously have financial backing now and spent a lot of money last summer, but everyone they brought in is under 22 and he's overachieved in season one with them. Looking at what he's done this year and where Hull are, he's clearly a better manager than a lot of people gave him credit for when we were linked. I'd be shocked if Southampton look anywhere but Rohl though. He's already been in the building as assistant manager and was highly rated at the time.
Agreed, think he'll be first choice there but depends on if the Leipzig interest is real - he might be the one to reject them.
I didn't realise they were linked. He'll have coached there under Hassenhutl as well I presume? Wouldn't be a shock in that case.
I am a big Rosenior fan. No surprise to me to see him doing so well. He has a good chance of taking a prem job if he progresses again next year.
Ancelloti expected out at Madrid. He wants the Brazil job. Brazil remains the most romantic team anywhere in football. After Argentinas win they will be desperate to win again. Whilst I think England will win, if they cant Brazil would be a marvellous second. Ancelloti would give them every chance - what a coach. I am already so excited for the next world cup.
Brazil are a shadow of their former selves, squad is pretty average and they are miles behind Argentina. Like you say though, Ancelotti is a cracking coach but unless he knows of some unknown gems hiding somewhere or can do an Alex Ferguson with the existing players he will have his work cut out.
Was gonna say something similar, a whole lot of kids that will be superb though. Just got to find a way to play Vini Jr, Rodrygo, Endrick and Estevao in attack, and find a keeper/some fullbacks somewhere.
Dont forget Cunha, Savinho, Pedro from the prem. Plus Raphina. As always loaded up with attacking talent. There is Magheales, Murilo, Marquinos, Beraldo, Gomes. There is a young right back at Flamengo who is catching the eye as well. One or two gaps to plug, but I could see why a top coach would relish the challenge.
Yeah for sure, there's loads of talent just a lot of them really young - Wesley at flamengo is pretty solid like you mention but then they'll be starting Krepski and Arana who are just ok. Definitely the foundations to be challenging again but always find myself underwhelmed watching them, but could be more a coaching issue. Just not sure yet where they go after Alisson.
I think Boro will sack Carrick if they don't make top 6. I can see him falling upwards though based purely on his style of play. He's in the same mould as Maresca, Kompany, Potter, Martin who get better jobs without really producing results. Could definitely see him at Leicester/Southampton.
Think they have to beat Norwich to even stand a chance, a draw/defeat then I think he’ll be gone next week
