Given how difficult it is to deport people I would suggest there are two realistic options:
1 Rwanda or similar overseas accommodation and a never to be processed asylum application.
2 Ignore any rules/agreements and take the boat people straight back to the French beach from which they set off.

For number 2. The claim is it's dangerous to turn them back. So how come they can escort them here, even though it's virtually the same process and roughly the same distance.

We’d have to take them back. I foresee an issue getting them off the boat. Needs a bit of thought. Maybe tow them in an inflatable then puncture it.

But they already get off 'their' dinghies onto RNLI and Border Force vessels. Sticking them on any old engineless tub with a hole in, just enough to get them back instead and leaving them on it in France would still be cheaper than bringing them here.

The 'problem' has been exacerbated by Brexit - I realise that will upset some of the lower IQs on here, but it is what it is ... instead if giving us 'control of our own borders' it just made border co-operation initiatives with our nearest European neighbours more problematic and hampered by red tape ...

There is not a complete solution but there certainly are improvements that could be made - some which could also boost UK jobs ...

A working group established with those same European neighbours aimed at tighter controls and stopping the crossings before they can launch ... real disincentives for smugglers ...

Significantly ratcheting up the numbers of asylum application personnel and splitting the applications into centres (possibly in France etc with their agreement) that deal with those that have paperwork and those that don't ... those that are unable to prove who they are, where they come from and why they require asylum, should be sent back to point of origin (or best guess) after having facial recognition images stored on an 'interpol' style database... in case they try again ...

Bring them back here, put them in a suitable inflatable vessel, tow it to France, puncture it, cut the rope.

You are right, of course: whoever cracks it will govern for a generation or longer, which proves how strong the heeling is regarding this issue.

I think the only answer is for the army to build and administer internment camps for any illegal migrant. It may deter some at least. Anything to slow the numbers must be worth a shot.

Even the most ardent liberal should be concerned with the current numbers arriving.

The Dublin agreement saw tiny numbers sent back and more sent here from the EU than sent there.
As for the rest: that's what we've been trying for years. It does not work.

What the lefties choose to ignore is that the influx of illegals also makes it harder for genuine asylum seekers to get respite. Their support for these criminals is harming the needy in so many ways. It's contrary to what socialists should support.

You posted a word salad of tears and despair which is your standard weekend cry for help. As to solutions, you’ve cracked it. Let’s tell the legal teams working for government that dumb, the noddy from 606, says stop paying them there £7 a day or better still, turn them round in the Channel…that’s it sorted <doh>

We built the channel tunnel … what about a channel wall !

Make France pay for it etc etc

It will stop ‘illegal’ entry to UK and probably the French … so win win !!!

You seem to delight in showing the world you're a moron. You use a lot of words to vent your rancid spleen and still manage to say **** all. No wonder you've repeatedly failed to have the guts to offer your own considered solution and prefer to just revert back to the decade long 'not that <diva>' mode. <doh>

You asked, and you were answered yet again, but instead of offering your own views, you once again melt. <laugh>
