Never stopped them before
They normally just do whatever they want - cheat and get out of it on a technicality

that said I actually fundamentally disagree with FFP - clubs should be allowed to spend whatever they want
End of imho
But if your clubs blows it - your gone

And that is why FFP exists, to protect people like you,me and everyone else on this forum.
To many many people football and their club in particular is a big part of their life in various ways such as a release from tension, common interest, enjoyment/excitement of watching the game etc etc.
When a club goes bump because of inept management it can really affect people (supporters) badly.

It really isn't about sustainability though and certainly not about fan protection.

You're right. Bury and Reading fans must be delighted that the financial rules came in to prevent terrible owners destroying their club.

I think you'll find the football league passed rules to prevent it happening mate. Or so some people believe anyway.

Good to see they're on their way back though. Suspect they'll get to the national league easily enough but might get stuck there a while.

In other news you can get 14/1 on JWP scoring from outside the box today. Hasn't scored a free kick since he left so seems an inevitability that he will today.

I saw there were over 20,000 yesterday for the Bradford v Newport L2 game. Didn't know Bury were on the comeback, goodluck to them.

FFP is not about that
That’s where the fit and proper owners should come in
You have the perfect examples in here of supporters who have enjoyed the high and lows and that’s the way it should be

FFP may have been supposed to do what you say but it most definitely hasn’t

Teams will just employ the best lawyers and find work arounds

just let them get on with it for me - if they make my club burst then we will have to reform and start again at the bottom end of the pyramid - the real supporters will still be there
