This was just a follow up to some of the players we are considering if we lost Jobe/Neil/Rigg - but yeah I think that as a replacement would lean more towards us being a dominant team in the form of Leeds or Burnley this season.

Hmm, good fit for their system I would think... But they want a lot and when united spend money I assume it'll not work.

Good player, but not sure he is at the level we already have. If we lose one of those three, or even two, we would need to be looking at some pretty serious talent imo. This side without Neil and Jobe would be a shadow imo, for example.

Personally I really like him, only 19 and expecting him to kick on more over the Summer but yeah I can maybe see some hesitation with someone on loan at Norwich. Fee would be around £5-6million for any interested parties so not a cheap option to be considering - probably have to look abroad for anyone better around that value and age profile.

However: pretty sure Norwich will want to activate his buy clause, just a name that has been mentioned if they didn't.

I would try to tempt Jordan James back from Rennes if we are shopping in that sort of market. I thought he was a real talent when emerging at Brum and played nigh on 100 champ games for them. He looked in the Neil mould, maybe more box to box. Rennes picked him up for £5m, I would happily pay upto £10m for him.

Remember the Mendy saga in the summer? Well Caen were relegated from Ligue 2 yesterday, they probably could've done with the money...

Would definitely take some doing, suppose it's not impossible depending on if the interest from Atlanta and a few prem teams materialises into bids.

Few decent expiring contracts though, would add up with the pre contract discussions we seem to be having.

Even that Rayan over in Brazil and Bardghji

Antoñito Cordero seems more our style though - shame he's going to the mags.

Brilliant player and he’s the young player the model would go to with more money

a more ready youngster with bags of ability

    I’d love that

Yeah like I say Norwich are really interested in making it permanent, in the event we were interested enough to bid I don't know if the player can choose?

Player always has a choice, he can refuse the contract, just means city have to accept

My only doubts about it were that I thought the player signs a contract along with the loan agreement that gives the club first dibs? But surely can't force them to move you would have thought.

Don’t believe that’s the case with options, it is with obligations

    I could be wrong

That's the thing, it's an obligation if certain clauses are met - not privy to what those are. An option otherwise.

Watched back some of the Liga Portugal extended highlights and despite a 3-0 loss Djibril Soumare looked excellent for Nacional on loan from Braga, probably an expensive option but not unattainable as a Dan Neil replacement in the summer

Salford want to keep young next year according to Nixon, if he’s going out on loan I think he needs to go to a bigger club no disrespect but bigger crowds with bigger expectations will stand him in good stead for breaking in here
