No issues with the performance at all. Was really poor from 09 and Hume just clipped him. Jobe looked rusty we hell. Need him to get some minutes. Thought Mepo, Neil and Mayenda were great. Watson, I want him relegated to under 21s immediately. He isn't worth a place in the squad. Disgrace of a performance. Effort eas zero.
On a serious note tho I think Mundles injury is a big worry now. I hoped Watson would be keen to impress but as with the rest of his career he seems to expect to not have to earn it.
cheers again RTB... difficult day for the lads, lame sending off as hume was trying to pull back rather than 'diving into him', roberts and watson have been dire but tommy needs to be given his cards and sent down to get settled in early. too much on his mind to be given a starting slot. they cheered more out of relief, struggled to beat 10 men but to be fair they played some decent stuff. MotM to mayenda, he put more of a shift in for the goal than the rest of the team all game.
Said nothing wrong he's praised the rest of the team and hes told the truth about Watson after his **** game against Swansea. Should never be seen in a red and white shirt again unless it's stoke
Are these commentators high or just stupid? It was 11 vs 10 for almost the entire game and you’d think Bristol had just beaten ****ing Brazil.
Very difficult when you get a player (very harshly) sent off in the first ten minutes and both your wingers are doing impressions of ghosts. I thought it was a decent effort from us considering. I'm a big believer in Watson's potential based on his games before his injury, been absolutely ****e since then though.
Players need to look at themselves at times. If he thinks he's worked like the rest of his team mates then you can't do anything about that - not many people watching will agree with him. I'm just thinking out loud on a Sunderland chat forum but I would assume his agent and his girlfriend's dad would've given him advice on how he should be playing games if he was selected - they've both had experience of playing the same way in their careers.
It’s seemingly his mentality tho. He thinks he’s earned everything. He doesn’t feel he needs to work or impress. He’ll likely go to Brighton and be put out that he’s in their PL2 team
Is what it is. Decent performance down to 10, outside of a few individuals. Would be confident facing these in the playoffs. Watson needs banishing from the squad. Head just isn't in the game at all. Some players on that pitch with not even half as much talent he has put him to absolute shame today. Borderline pathetic performance. Cheers for the money now **** off. Mayenda is special. Goal of the season and his work throughout the game was tremendous. Could see they were petrified of him with the way Pring took him down on the counter attack. My MOTM, well played lad. We move on, glad to have some players back and a much better performance by both the team and individuals.
Goes back to January too. RLB mentioned a wide player and we didn’t get one over the line. So short out wide on both sides and it’s a crucial area for us. Agree on Watson, we’ve got a great deal for him. Lads like him don’t grow out of the attitude he’s shown, it’ll happen at Brighton anarl when he can’t get in the squad.
