Slater and Puerta as a double pivot doesn’t work. Both are box-to-box and run around like Golden Retrievers. There’s no calming element sitting deep to receive the ball under pressure.

 

Had to be done, before he got sent off. He would have been lucky to get to half time.

 

Only problem with that sub is Coyle probably plays 90 minutes now.

Palmers done more than Slater and Puerta added together and he’s been crap

 

If we’re going to play this style of football, then we need rapid wingers on either side like Forest do. You cannot play this style of counter-attacking football when you have no pace up front. Pedro, Lincoln, Palmer and Gelhardt are all quite tricky but don’t have that explosive pace for counter-attacks.
