You're speaking in ifs and buts and then claiming it would be ridiculous to think otherwise. You yourself don't even know what would happen.
the fact that scousers have hated man utd long before the PL was formed is why I have such contempt for the piece **** aka LIVERPOOL fc
I don't see why Liverpool fans and Dalglish are so up in arms about the whole Rooney appeal. When Rooney represents England he is the FA's player, and they will obviously appeal his ban to the relevant authorities, just the same way Liverpool may appeal Spearing's. What's the difference between the FA trying to get Rooney available for more England games and Liverpool potentially trying to get Spearing available for more Liverpool games? Seems to me like Dalglish is just trying to throw up a smokescreen, or maybe play some mind games to try and get Suarez and / or Spearing a reduced punishment...
Well, the point is, the FA are enforcing a 3 match ban on a player whose 'foul play' was far less than a player whose ban they've managed to get reduced to 2 matches. The question is, do they think Rooney's offence was worth less or more than Spearing's? On the evidence above, the answer would be yes. And that's what the issue is, regardless of representation. Although, what I would say is that Dalglish shouldn't just complain about the Rooney appeal, but cite it in the club's appeal for Spearing. Surely there'd be more chance of a reduced ban if the FA felt they would end up being painted as hypocrites should they actually extend it to 4.
I can't help a little smile at the Suarez pic though, I know he should know better but it's just funny.
as per............ how boring... dalglish was asked at a press conference and made a comment... he didn't (chortle) pull a piee of paper out fo a pocket and hae a rant... so don't make a big deal out of it. for the record, rooney and the fa as England fc followed fifa's disciplinary procedure, risked a longer ban in doing so and got a result... nothing untoward there. en of as far as i am concerned. Kenny also said (in case the manc only read the piece or got it second hand relating to rooney) that when the considered appealing for spearing they knew that the FA don't allow perosnal appearance so in this case they felt the risk was higher so didn't appeal given some closed door procedure could jus create more issue. Of course we were rewarded with a further charge so I think our fans will be delighted to "welcome2 this ref to anfield i nthe future as a result. Also end of.... press ask, kenny answers simple. again rushholme proves he has no class but using such foul and abusive comments and refering to "hate" if that kind of bile floats his boat fine but don't be shocked if people look down thier noses with distain.... if only one player causes your "hate" then thats a laugh.... i think hate is anyone in that shade of red in reality for you. some utd fans have a bit of class on this site and some have none.... some took a bit of ribbing yesterday with good grace, some have none.... the same for our lot... you can tell who. so. 1. i'd fine suarez myself as LFC.... i'd insist the FA don't until they actually issue an edict stating it is unacceptable. too many precendents set. 2. I'd not appeal spearing either... it was two footed and the ref had the right to make the call ON THAT MOMENT.. he saw what he saw evenif i thought he was mad until i saw a replay. the res tof his game was tosh but i can see the logic. 3. I'd fight that rubbish about controlling players tooth and nail cos several incidents a week occur with no charge, especially as we played good soldiers without appealing. even utd fans know full well players like ferdinand and others in their team have done it loads let alone talking about terry and lamaprd. 4. Rooney was in his rights appealing so good luck to him for managing to get back in the group stages. it was his risk to go do so.
Rooney's appeal concerns the FA and England, and is nothing to do with Liverpool or Dalglish. He was asked a question, big deal. He could have said no comment or its nothing to do with me. Dalglish this season in some of his interviews after games has been vocal in giving his opinion as well as refusing at times not to comment when asked.
Come on Constcrepe,Fergie has had his nose in our business since the day he got the Utd job. And the usual excuse from Utd fans is that if hes asked his opinion he gives it,same rule applies to Kenny.
The two bans were given under different rules - UEFA has a flexible system to take account of the fact that internationals are so rare, whilst the FA has a fixed system. Were the FA not to appeal Rooney's ban they would simply be stupid, as other countries would undoubtedly appeal in the same situation. Whether the FA should have a flexible system in place is another matter, but they are simply operating under the rules for each system. Also, we should be careful not to confuse the two roles of the FA - their role as the "owners" of the England team should be completely separate from their role as the regulators of the English game. Otherwise you would have the situation where England players were treated differently by the FA just because they play for England. And bear in mind that Rooney's ban hasn't been reduced, he's just had one match suspended for four years. So if he gets another sending off for England at any point in the next four years (and you just know he will...) he'll get a four match ban for that. I think it's not so much UEFA wanting to be lenient, but just recognising that a ban for three matches at this stage will take him out of the whole of the group stage, which would be quite unfortunate timing-wise. I agree - managers of all clubs will talk about other clubs if they think it will give them some benefit. Dalglish seems to trying to get inside the heads of the FA a wee bit - hoping they will think "well, we managed to get a three match ban effectively reduced to two for Rooney, so maybe we should just give Suarez a one match ban instead of a two" or something similar. All managers do it, and I don't see anything wrong with it, even if the logic of the argument is a bit flawed.
I cant see how its flawed, hes just pointing out the hypocrisy of the English FA who when it suits them cite Uefa and Fifa rules to get out of a bad spot yet implement their own interpretation of a rule against one player/club and dont to another for the same offence. In the Suarez 'finger' accusation, He said LFC will present the FA with 6 examples of the same hand gesture made by Suarez that resulted no action taken. And why not.
and mr berbs proves his calss once again... you big child as for the dalglish thing, i think the reasoned have shown that the reply that he could stay out of it was foolish given the fact your own manager answers such questions... no issue with it one way or the other... like i said no class... take the ribbing, move on to the next match and come back with something better than the ridiculous at least we were in it... thats lowering your standards...
i didn't beleive you had either a big or throbbing or indeed a cock at all so i saw no point... literally...
turn about is fair play.... class = take it on the chin and move on... save up the angst for giving us what for some time in the near future rather than wasting it all right now... or prehaps if i use base language like you seem to understand... don't blow your load prematurely...
Sorry to delete your post PMK it was because of the quote. This is a banter thread for our clubs. Certain subjects are not acceptable.
You are thick as pigshit lad. United fans have'nt been angels over the years either,an Evertonian mate of mine got 120 stitches down his back outside the scoreboard but im not gonna blame every Utd supporter for that or for the Shankly and Hillsborough songs. Its a minority and should be seen as such, only an idiot would blame an entire city of over a quarter of a million people for the actions of a few.
