Just paid this years council tax. £1,210 now. Robbing bastards. Apart from my bin being emptied about once a month I’m not exactly sure what I get back for that money.
Walsall have hit a deal with an American brewer, NoFo, only outlet in the UK atm, or were at least, their ipa is excellent, not tried the stout but may give it a go tomorrow.
Morning. I’ve bought a few cars this week form the auctions. Got them parked in various places around the village. This morning I’ve got a lad giving them all a valet and then I’ll sell them next week. It’s a day on the beer for me, though
In the 90's had a mate who did a lot of that, then someone reported him to the tax , can't remember the finer details but they built a case up against him, even buying 2 of the cars off him, they waited until he hit a certain amount of sales and had him in, for not declaring a business, tax evasion plus because of the figure they let him get too it meant he was liable for VAT too, who really went to town on him, ended up having to sell his house, he had the money to pay them but was advised not too as it was hidden away and that would have thrown up another investigation, where did you get the money.
Ouch. Yeah, I’m careful about selling them. I’m having different lads advertise the cars for me, just for now. If it builds up to what I think it will then at some point I’ll be going legitimate as a trader.
