That's fair enough however, when some, including me said we need to use subs more instead of hammering some of our players into the ground, with worry of injury and drop of from, we were met with the same argument. Trust the professionals.
I would add I think we have to take such a significant resting approach now because we haven't done so far this season, that was the point some were making earlier with the use of subs and rotation.
The professionals with all the data about fitness etc. Surely the coaches have earned a bit of leeway that they know what they doing?
Of course. But again, some who also know about this stuff, said we should have done it earlier to present this level of fatigue and this level of action now. The fact we have to take such action now is from the poor choices made earlier in the season. I just hope we get everyone who is starting in the play off semi on the pitch for a couple of games prior. We have had a great season. I am just making the point about fitness and management of the squad. It's been a weak point this season.
Are you suggesting you and others know better than the currently employed coaching / science team? If so have you considered offering your services to the club?
That's still just your opinion. We may have won fewer points and suffered more injuries if we'd made more subs. Coventry have a flurry of injuries along with poor form and Sheff Utd's form has crashed ... ... both of them make loads of subs. And that's just your opinion as well, not a fact at all ... ... I'm not being awkward but surely you can see that.
Thanks again RTB for your efforts..Cracking thread again. I'm off to this one early train in the morning and back after game. Looking forward to catching up with friends. As for the football I'm sure there will be changes players rested again and as long as we give a good account of ourselves so be it. Important times ahead. Decent side Bristol good manage as well. Fancy a draw . Hopefully a bit more time for le Fee 30 mins for Jobe getting them ready for when it matters. Haway the lads.
That was once my main area and did actually do that sort of thing and frequently was providing guidance with them. , not for a long time though. What I would say is that there are a lot of people who work in the area and give good advice. Some on here. Just because we are not currently employed by the club doesn't mean we can not suggest improvements.
Hope you have a cracking day mate, it was just way too expensive for a game like this ... ... I'm over on Monday if you have time for a pint
There's improvements and there is being involved. You and others post like you know better than those who have actual data. Surely you can see why it may cause some conflict?
It's always just opinion as we haven't seen the live data. Some might but I haven't. But yeah, guess that's the point of the forum. We all have different experiences and knowledge that help shape our opinion. If we always just trust the coaching staff then it would be a boring place and they would always just remain in the jobs !
Haway lads. We arent even at game day and it is oneupmanship argument stuff already. It isnt a great read. I cant wait to get on the train in the morning. Usually football days are dry days for me as I drive. Not tomorrow though I am going to sing my heart out and show these lads what they mean to me. Every last one of them. What a bunch we have and they never give up. I love them all. After tomorrow I have a cracking long weekend lined up. Saturday a mix of allotment and date night. Golf Sunday afternoon and out for a meal afterwards with my youngest. Monday golf at an away course with my pal involved with footy and he has me a gift apparently. Then I will be in bed by 8, knackered, and up at 6 for work Tuesday. I am a lucky old bugger, not least to support these brilliant kids. Enjoy all, whatever you are doing.
Really sorry, I'm not after an argument I promise ... ... but what the supporters think doesn't make a scrap of difference to who the club employs. If it did Speakman would be so long gone we'd have all forgotten about him by now.
Fair enough, as always we won't ever agree. Probably best you pop me back on ignore as there's 2 games this weekend we may not win and God forbid I will bite at your posts. I'm trying to be not so stressed with social media
