I think if we can get 4 points from the Easter 2 games, that should be enough to see us home. If Puerta does not feature again at some point in this game, then we must assume we are not going to buy him, even though Slater has done okay. Probably two or three changes, will Kamara get a start or keep him as an impact sub, same goes with Palmer. Will Alfie come back in for Egan and might Amrabat get a start in place of Lincoln?
I've given up trying to predict Selle's starting 11, he always seems to do something unexpected, by me at least. Trust in the system, UTT!
Agree re Puerta. Hopefully he starts for Slater on Friday. Selles tends to rest players when he has options so if Slater starts again on Friday we can take it that Puertas omissions are related to contractual reasons (and the earlier comments from Selles are bs). Twt If could be interesting to see what Amrabat can offer as a starter. His 'legs' can be no worse than Lincolns. Kamara as impact sub (if needed) please.
i think a draw on friday and a win against Preston, they've got nothing to play for. However we'll probably do it arse about face and beat swansea and draw with preston
Just read Selles has had conversations with Drameh that has resulted in him training impressively for the last 10 days. I doubt he will get the start at RB 'some' of us might prefer.
VERY wishful thinking imo. The fans might take comfort from that if we lose, but totally different for the players and manager who obviously aren't the same as fans ... unfortunately in this case.
Some good points, but I wonder if Leeds thought the same..'Preston have nothing to play for.' This will be easy.....Errrrr, Leeds scraped a scrappy 2-1 win. True, if City are to get 4 pts they'll probably do it upside down. But I wonder how many players from 'nothing to play for' teams will be thinking about a new contract for 25/26?
Teams with not much to play for can often be more dangerous, relax a bit , be more open. During the season a team like Preston would probably keep it tight away from home , happy with a point , etc . With no pressure on they might think **** it and come here and have a go . Last day of season might be different and teams really can’t be arsed at all but not yet I don’t think
Preston have only won 10 games (1 less than us) and are only where they are because of 19 draws. I think we can all guess how that’s going to work out.
