A roaring 3-0 win at home and then a 2-1 away in the Bernabeu against Ancelotti's Real Madrid. Big moment for Mikel Arteta's career, can't remember the last time I was this happy for someone not connected to Saints
Arsenal have a real shot to win the tournament IMO. PSG will be tough but they've bossed Real Madrid over 180 minutes. Saka is back and firing. Rice is playing at a ridiculous level.
So the best team in Spain, the best team in Italy, the best team in France and the second best team in England will fight it out in the semi finals. It's going to be an incredible end to the tournament.
Arsenal fans in the roads outside my flat in Finsbury Park, air horns going off and all sorts. London has fallen!
Honestly I think that's kind of small time for a club like Arsenal. Two incredible results and performances yes which should be enjoyed but if you consider yourselves a huge club in Europe then getting to a semi shouldn't be a huge achievement. All a bit Spurs like for me. Though I do understand it at the same time as their European Cup record is terrible really.
I kind of get your point but Arsenal spent so many years getting their arses kicked whenever they played anyone decent in Europe so I can understand the celebrations! For so long Arsenal fans had to accept a top 4 finish was a good achievement. Now they are legitimate PL and CL contenders the fans feel like blowing off some steam. Fair play to them really.
Yeah agree, I’m not surprised. In my experience, there’s an entire generation of Arsenal fans who got hooked in during the Invincibles era / Wenger glory years who have never seen them win (or even credibly compete for) the two biggest prizes since then. Most of them spent much of that time growing up watching Arsenal be the whipping boy/joke club of the big boys, not so long ago they couldn’t even get points away against other big six clubs, so they have been starved and are all too ready to be jubilant in moments like tonight
I am glad Wenger left. Always fun when Saints beat Arsenal in those days. Tonking Wenger's Arsenal was one of the great pleasures in football.
I was rooting for Arsenal and thought they were great over the two legs but I have to give a mention to the ref last night. To give two massive penalty shouts against Real Madrid, in the Bernabeu Stadium, took bottle and he was correct on both counts.
Everton fan who stole food at new stadium gets ban. BBC Start as you mean to go on. Then film yourself and post it. Moron
