We will see them before the end of the year (but not fully fit IMO). I always thought ACL's were around 12 months
How long does it take to recover from an ACL injury? Recovery can take anywhere from 6 to 12 months, depending on the severity of the injury, the type of treatment received, and the rehabilitation process followed.
We did have sufficient funds. Whether we still do – considering we have few sellable players and Acun doesn’t seem as interested as he used to – remains to be seen.
The thing that concerns me about our spending power is the amount of money we've already got committed on players we don't even want. Racioppi, Ömür, Giles and Mehlem are all coming back from loans in the summer and will probably go out again, with us presumably picking up a good chunk of their wages, as well as paying off their fees which in Ömür and Giles' cases are substantial. This must amount to something pretty significant. And if we're going to want to trim down the squad that's going to mean a few more contracted players probably out on subsided loans again. With that growing list of liabilities there has to come a point when it affects our ability to bring players in.
Racioppi and Mehlem were loans with buy options, I’m not sure they’ll come back, the other two are more of an issue (particularly Giles).
