It's not deflection if I've joined in the criticism of the atrocity at least half a dozen times before and since this discussion began
I think the reason for the bullet analysis is that you can use that information to produce a forensic assessment that either supports or disputes the claims of the IDF. So there is a purpose in their rambling about bullet holes.
While I agree, I think there is also lots of questions around all the events that night, so why chose that specifically, it was pretty obvious they wiped out a medic team. I would want to start from the beginning, what was the call out, how was it decided how many vehicles and medics attend, what was the identity of every single one of them. Why were the IDF in wait, what was the abandoned vehicle that the medics approached, what was such a large number of medics expecting to find. Why was every team member not wearing the visible clothing, I saw one approach the abandoned vehicle with no clear markings on his clothing. Why did the IDF open fire, was any fire returned that caused the firing to be prolonged. Were there bodies in the abandoned vehicle, had the IDF been under prior attack. How did the red crescent member avoid being killed. Why did the IDF lie, did they realise they ****ed up and it wasn't until the camera was found that information was verified. Why do other members of the medical team not wear cameras. Why is there a process to bury the vehicles, bodys I might understand, but I'd still want further understanding around that as well. Tbph there are so many questions that spring to mind, hearing a 100 bullets is no where near the top of my list.
I also didn't like the way the media tried to suggest the bodies and vehicles were hidden, how was that ever so, surely the medical team and the people that sent them knew the rough location they were going to. The guy that was released from the Red Crescent would certainly have known the location they were ambushed.
I get all that, but the BBC can only report the information they have access too and present that in an article. The amount of information here would be the scope of a full in depth investigation/public inquest with the ability to interview tons of people on both sides of the conflict. Something way out of the scope of a news channel. Hiding bodies and vehicles gives you the ability to dispute the claims presented, one Red Crescent worker can be ignored as can a few Hamas ran health ministry workers if you simply point out that neither bodies nor vehicles were ever discovered.
I think the BBC are jumping the gun a bit, excuse the pun. It's clear what the BBC objective was in all this, and that was to make the IDF appear bad, before any investigation had even taken place. I accept that happens in war, let alone any crime. I still don't get how you can hide bodies and vehicles when you release someone who knew exactly where you were. Let alone the call out would have had coordinates. Again it looks like a smear campaign before the facts are established. I'd argue that IDF released the coordinates to the correct reporting body and this was some how procedure....sounds ****ing odd to me I agree, but it is a war afterall, who knows what some of the strange rules maybe. Just playing devils advocate here really, because lots of unknowns, but it does looking pretty suss.
Israel withdrew its error-strewn explanation of the incident on April 5th and launched a probe that is still ongoing. Five days later, the BBC commissioned 3 investigative journalists, two audio forensics experts, and one regular journalist to publish an in-depth article counting the number of bullets and distances they were fired from. The findings of this article merely repeated what we already knew on April 5th, but with more details. Thanks to the BBC, we now know the distance in metres at which the IDF ****ed up. Bravo.
Awful hearing about those 15 family members being stuck under the rubble....more or less abandoned, terrible, it's something like that which gets my goat, because it involves young kids.
Lol I was part way through replying to your first comment but I can tell you're just having a strop so I cba @PISKIE come and chat to CK ffs.
I am getting tired of reading about terrible things every day tbh. When are one of these old ****s gonna sit down a table and put an end to countless people being slaughtered for nothing? And by the way, were the **** are the Donald Trump arsehole lickers now? Wasn't that rancid makeup covered fat slob meant to put an end to all this? It's worse than ever.
Oh please no. I had him in my ear last night and Fosse all morning. That's more than enough to put anyone in a strop.
Yeah but the main thrust of your comments has been moaning about the BBC analysis, Rather than the atrocities that they were reporting on.
I think Trump and Piskie are still drawing up plans for beachfront villas and water slides. Could be a long while, Piskie has only just finished tiling his shower room.
They slaughtered those medics (not the first incident) and then buried the bodies and the vehicles to try and cover it up. When it was then found out that they'd fired on a convoy of Ambulances, they tried to spin a BS story that the vehicles were moving without headlights or emergency lights and was transporting Hamas operatives. Then a video was recovered that showed that the IDF was bare faced lying about the whole incident. How many other incidents in this conflict where we've heard 'We were targeting Hamas operatives' or a hospital or school was a 'Hamas control and command centre' are also bollocks ?
