Much deserved: https://www.efl.com/news/2025/april/16/efl-awards-2025--shortlists-revealed/ RLB nominated for manager of the year Jobe for young player of the year Rigg for apprentice of the year
Would think Jobe and Rigg have a decent shout, Jobe is likely the better prospect for the win. Regis probably would have a better chance if the season's form and momentum had gone in reverse.
Rigg will definitely win as I’ve never heard of the other two. Jobe may lose out to CJ Egan Riley who’s been phenomenal for Burnley
I've not seen a better opposition midfielder this season than Jobe, he has to be in with a massive chance of the award. Also agree with @Southern A never heard of the other two players alongside Rigg.
RLB should be in with a shout. Although Parker has done very well with Burnley's defence, they were still nailed on for promotion with the quality in their existing squad and parachute payments. Parker has managed at Premier League level before so should be more than adept at this level. RLB took over a team who finished in 16th with no parachute payments and the lowest average age in the league. That's a less sexy story than Parkers to be fair, but still more impressive.
Dan James, Gustavo Hamer and James Trafford are worthy nominees. Disagree that Hume should be nowhere near though. He's close to being our player of the season and we're 4th.
All about opinions I suppose. I don’t think he’s been great myself. Can’t argue with his numbers mind, especially those assists
