Out in the wild east some of the old steel factories were bought by the Americans in the great privatisation rush of the 1990s. After realising they were inefficient and couldn't be made to pay they were sold off again, this time the only buyers were the Chinese either in a plan to dominate the steel market or get a foothold into east European countries. They reaped all the subs and benefits by claiming they would close them if not given more aid money. Serbia bought theirs back for a euro after refusing to give in to the demands. Britain should do similar.
Serbia bought back its steel works from US Steel for $1 back in 2012, sold it to the Chinese in 2016 for €46m and I think they still own it (and make a profit).

Finally some common sense! What a batshit bonkers world that it even needed a court ruling. How many tens of millions have been 'wasted' that could have been put toward things of value, like hospitals, homeless, a couple of goal scoring strikers for City, etc. Let's hope our 'Supreme' court lives up to it's name. Hmmn.
The great learning and wisdom of the Supreme Court should not be underestimated. Why, only today, they decided someone with a penis cannot be a lesbian. Hey ho, you live and learn eh?
Where would they make the challenge? The Supreme Court is the final court of appeal in this country. The hearing was to determine the definition of a woman within the scope of the Equality Act 2010. This seems a fair summation of the ruling, " the protected characteristics of sex, male and female, refers to reality. Not to paperwork." The paperwork being a gender recognition certificate.
It's the 21st century some people will challenge night and day, lawyers will be more than happy to act on their behalf.
