The draw is interesting for Mourinho, if Fenerbahce can get past Rangers.
His side could potentially face Roma in the quarters, Man Utd in the semi and Spurs in the final.
Won't happen, of course, but it would give him a massive opportunity to get one over on his old clubs.

 

You can almost hear the commentator's scripts being written already

I predicted this pish years ago.

Won't be long before it is mainstream.

 

I assume they cannot play if one of the teams is Brasil.

 

CL QFs :

Arsenal vs Real Madrid
Bayern Munich vs Inter Milan
Barcelona vs Borussia Dortmund
PSG v Aston Villa

 

EL QFs :

Bodø / Glimt vs Lazio
Olympique Lyonnais vs Manchester United
Rangers vs Athletico Bilbao
Tottenham Hotspur vs Eintracht Frankfurt

 

It's not even new: in the very early days of the Premier League they had halftime acts for the televised games, which seemed to be Right Said Fred more often than not

 

If this season :

1. a PL club wins the EL
2. is the PL club that finishes 5th demoted to the EL ??

 

I believe they scrapped that rule the season after it happened to us. Obviously.

 

When it meant 5 clubs from one league.
Now it would potentially mean 6 clubs.

So with the PL getting 5 slots then we
have a more complex format than 2011-12
(it seems PL 4-5 could end up in the EL
if the "stars are right" ) .

 

Yeah I’m not certain but I think they’ll allow 6 from one country in the extended format.

 

So if Arsenal win it and finished 6th and Spurs or Utd won Europa then 7 clubs from England would be in the Champions League. Crazy

 

The thought of either us or Utd being in the CL is the definition of crazy!!

 

This season has been horrible so far. To top it off, Arsenal will win the CL, Utd will win the Europa and Chelsea will win Conference
