Good evening Leeds Fans! As a quick introduction, my name is Ben and I am in my final year at University. As part of my final year university project, I am exploring whether or not financial regulations in football (IE: PSR, FFP) influence fans behaviour as consumers, and the impact of this on clubs revenue. If you have a spare 5-10 mins, It would be greatly appreciated if you can complete the below survey which will really help my research. https://forms.gle/LfZvnaS2NfbifbaNA There are also some additional questions in section 3 for EFL fans and fans of clubs who have recently experienced (or soon to be experiencing) promotion/relegation from the Premier League to asses if there are specific impacts on fans of these teams. It should take no more than 2 mins to complete these questions, and it would be greatly appreciated if you could do this. The survey includes topics such as ticket prices, competitiveness of the game and the impact of financial sustainability for consumers. All responses are anonymous and would be really appreciated by myself. Thank you in advance for your participation! MOT
Just finished it. Maybe next assignment/project could look at how financial regulation has made it nearly impossible for promotees to EPL to survive. Best wishes.
Wasn’t going to bother to be honest but seeing as a few have, I thought I’d give it a go, have completed
Have to admit, I didn't bother. Why did the OP only ask 4 clubs on the forum. Surely they should be asking every active club on the forum to answer the survey. Why just 4 clubs in the Championship. Surely the 3 clubs promoted to the EPL last season would be ideal to give an opinion on FFP. I'm always suspicious of these types of surveys, where despite a plethora of varied opinions from multiple clubs, they restrict their survey to a small selection. It suggests either 1) it's an assignment and they are going through the motions 2) they have a pre determined hypothesis, and pick a select few clubs that they feel will give the best response to support this theory. 3) there is some nefarious reason for attracting people to the site the survey is hosted on. Now saying all of the above, maybe it's valid, but there is no way I'm clicking on a link upon the request of someone who has made a total of 4 posts under the guise of a football survey. Why hasn't the OP posted the survey on the forum of every EPL club. Why given that the OP says there are additional questions for clubs that have recently been or are soon to be relegated from the Premier League, has out of the 4 clubs he's posted his request too, 2 clubs have never played in the premier league, 1 was relegated from the EPL over 8 seasons ago, and ourselves. Ok the sheff Utd, Burnley and Luton sections are quiet on here, but Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton all have fairly active sections, they should be ideal for this type of survey
Probably not much more than 4 active clubs in forum anyway. Checked through a few one evening and most died about three years ago
I checked before I posted Eire, and just within the Championship section, I'd have requested Cardiff, Hull, Norwich, Portsmouth, QPR, Swansea and Watford given that they are all just as active as ourselves, Sunderland, Plymouth and Bristol City. theres another 11 clubs with active forums in the EPL Charlton, Bristol Rovers, Wycombe, Peterborough and Barnsley are all as active as the Plymouth forum, as well as Gillingham in league 2 So I've identified 24 additional clubs that the OP could have posted his request on, with just 5 minutes of research At the end of the day I don't click on links from random people on other forums I frequent without looking into it first, because who knows where it may lead, so this to me is no different
