Are you sure it wasn't that Curry you had? <laugh>
We need to score early if we can it will let us be a bit more relaxed and play some decent football. We seem to try too hard if we do not get an early goal and struggle a bit as the game goes on.

Hoping for an early goal to settle us down, and mean that they will have to press forward, leaving lots of space to exploit.
A good day for me really. Splendid avatar added and this is my 30th post, so I should finally lose my newbie status.
I forget what that will make me? Many on here probably think I am already a "member" :)

I work in Swindon, with a load of season ticket holders, so I really hope we do win today or it's a big bill for bacon rolls on monday.

I think we'll win by a couple of goals, and keep a clean sheet again, as Grella will be Swindon's biggest threat, and he's only ok, not great.

    <yikes> Like at Peterborough?

Here's hoping for a big comfortable win, but I'll settle for 1 - 0 Saints.
Just about to leave for the game, as the drive can take me an hour and a half some days so will check in later when we're all celebrating <cheers>

Don't need to leave home until around 1.45.....picking one Grandson up meeting another outside the ground at around 2.30. I hope Swindon bring a good crowd. I like to see big crowds go home sobbing..... only kidding guys.....You can't chalk up another win surely!!!! Come on you Saints it's in your hands!!

Big day today. If things go our way and we do the business against Swindon it could be looking very rosey indeed.

Good performance today. Apart from the spell they had towards the end of the first half and start of the second half, we completely controlled the game.

Very good first 20 minutes and I don't know how Chamberlain didn't score when he hit the post. I was right behind it and I thought it was in the whole way. Then we seemed to take out foot off the gas a bit and let them back into it. They probably deservedly got an equaliser through bad defending by Harding and shocking goalkeeping from Davis. We were lucky to survive the next few minutes when they were right on top but we completely dominated from when Lambert scored.

I thought Lambert was terrific today. He won nearly everything in the air despite being fouled the whole game, his link up play was great and he got a well deserved goal. Lallana was also very good today, nearly back to his best. Hammond was great again and Barnard and Schneiderlin were excellent when they came on and I think both may get a start on tuesday

Weird game. Should have been 3 up inside 20 minutes and then we did our old trick of dropping the tempo and letting the game go flat. Which it did for about 30 minutes. Once you stop playing, its hard to keep going again. Annoyed me that Davis kept kicking the ball towards Chamberlain, our smallest player!

I could see Swindon's equaliser coming and it duely did. Was Davis at fault? (Near post again)

At least their goal woke us up again and two set pieces sealed the game. Could have had a hat full after that.

Brilliant goal by Barnard. Was right behind it, he had only a two foot gap to get the ball in and was spot on.

Good win, but I still think we should be dominating teams more and not letting them back in by dropping the tempo. Better teams than Swindon could have tripped us up today like that.

What a courageous 2nd Half.. We concede but still picked our heads up and finished the job in style.

    Fantastic win! Roll on Tuesday!!

Barny has to start with Rickie!!

CBK A fair enough summary, their goal came after Lambert was blatantly fouled and not given, caught us napping, a bit harsh blaming Harding, he had too many options to cover, I was too far away to tell if KD got the angle wrong, but one thing for sure their goal was the wake up call that we needed, again Chappers was being by-passed, what a difference Spider made, he actually looked up for it, we know what Barney can do given the opportunity, a good win but we have not made much progress, we needed those dropped points from recent games.

    Lambo MOTM.

Good start, worrying little period of Swindon dominance in which they scored, followed by sheer Southampton dominance.

Deserved the 3 points, onwards to Birmingham.
