I'm glad we're not ****e anymore and the mags are run by a barbaric regime. Softens the blow so much I can barely feel it.
I’m very happy with the position we’re in as a club now, feels like we’re really on the up. But I’d ****ing love for the Saudis to pull out of Newcastle. Fairweather ****ers are doing my head in and the fact so much of the country wanted them to beat Liverpool sickens me.
It is surprising, although it shouldn't be, how easily the mags' sportswashing owners are seemingly accepted by the general public. Short attention spans and normalisation? I have wondered if the Saudis pay media outlets like Sky not to talk about the regime and big the mags up. Sky aren't in great financial shape (I think) so could be easily persuaded. This could just be conspiracy theory type thinking from me, of course.
By their league position I'd assumed Oxford, Portsmouth and QPR were safe ... ... just looked at the table and they're absolutely not. Portsmouth are only 3 points off the drop so could do with a result at Coventry who've lost three of their last four games. QPR's form is rotten and they're away at relegation rivals Oxford. The whole Championship is great viewing now we're safe ... ... promotion, playoffs and survival issues are all going to the last minute of the last day imo. I'm at our QPR game but might've been better watching multiple screens and Soccer Special.
I used to think playing in Europe would be a great laugh having fun in some European city meeting friendly locals ... ... but it always seems to end up like this. Still a few old lads seemed to be able to chase off the young French hooligans https://www.instagram.com/thecasualultra_official/reel/DIMw9wDMbyn/
I do enjoy watching Aouchiche, first thought is always to drive forward ... ... doing well at Coventry tonight.
Good news in the Coventry game. Victor Torp, who's very good in their midfield, is off and won't play again this season imo ... ... badly twisted his ankle and off on a stretcher.
