Saw his interview with Dan Burn and he seemed a really nice lad. If he's a dirty bastard on the pitch he's merely Arsenal through and through... Nowt wrong with that.
Yeah I haven't got a problem with him having an edge like that. For years we were accused of having a soft underbelly with no leaders, and now we've got players who know how to mix it up we get accused of being dirty / dark arts etc. Would much rather the latter
I don't even think he's that dirty, people just have an agenda against him because he's confident, outspoken and I do believe there's an element of racismo involved with how much scrutiny he was under on social media from large swathes of opposition fans. It was insane some of the stuff I was reading. He's got some needle, but above all that, he's a quality footballer that is press-resistant, strong on and off the ball, glides past players like they're not there, can fit in that left pocket and gives us more central penetration. The fact he's not even naturally a LB makes it all the more impressive. He's got an incredible mentality and that's what will get him to go far in his career.
I'm pretty sick of how friendly today's players are. Helping each other up and shaking hands. It's not what's required.
Did you see the beef between Nemanja Matic and Andre Onana ahead of the Lyon-Man Utd fixture? I thought it was hilarious Both of them digging each other out in public. We need stuff like that in the game otherwise the game becomes too sanitised.
Yeah I don't think he's dirty at all, but he's got an edge, which is great. He's just confident and there are some people who can't handle it. I love the way he brushes players off on those runs of his. For a small guy he's incredibly strong and can hold off tackles from the biggest players. His Haaland celebration though was ****in epic Made himself a Gooner legend in that moment.
