In better transfer news, some Swedish outlets are claiming Bergvall’s in talks over a new deal for the summer.

 

It's exactly the sort of signing I'd expect us to make.

I ignore what aggregator accounts suggest entirely because they repeat any half-baked rumour to create "engagement"

A more terrifying question is whether DCL would be interested in the move. I'm guessing it's a sidestep that's all.

Here's the difference: someone like Romano, Dan KP, Alasdair Gold etc actually put their name to a rumour, so there's a degree of authenticity to it

There's no source for the Calvert-Lewin link other than GiveMeSport, which is the internet equivalent of a bloke down the pub who thinks Leighton Baines would be the ideal LB for our system

There's rumours and then there's something patently made up, which is why I tend to avoid Turkish sources linking us to Super Lig players and only mention them if one of our players is linked with a move to Gala/Fener/Besiktas as there's a decent chance they're onto something

In terms of the Calvert-Lewin link, there's two particularly damning details about it
i.) The initial source is one of either Fichajes or TEAMtalk, the former notorious for throwing things out there for ad revenue while the latter is somehow still a thing in spite being a premium rate phone line scam for years
ii.) As of 7:30 this evening there is no mention of it on Spurs Community, and considering some of the garbage rumours they latch onto...
