Watford will be without influential forward Kwadwo Baah when they host Hull City on Tuesday night after the German limped out of Saturday's defeat at Bristol City after just 18 minutes.

When Renato was alive he had a restaurant in Tamworth (or possibly Nuneaton) and would serenade the diners during evening service. I went once - the boy had pipes.

Not sure how you do it, short of creating a new profile. If it's a mod thing I wonder if they can be trusted with such an important task :emoticon-0138-think

A quarter of the goals we've scored this season came in little over a week in Walter's false dawn when we won three games in a row.

A third of our goals this year have come in those two remarkable scorelines against the Uniteds, Leeds and Sheffield.

Otherwise we generally don't score or nick a single goal.

Tonight will in all likelihood be a draw, probably nil nil, but possibly one one.

    We've scored 40 goals in 40 games

According to my rough calculations that's about 1 goal per game

    Further mathematical musing:

In those 5 games (Walter's 3 wins plus the Leeds / Sheffield games where we scored 3 in each, we've scored 40% of our season's total so far. (16 out of 40)

We average a paltry goal a game overall (40 games, 40 goals).

Take those 16 goals in 5 games out of the equation and you're left with 24 goals in 35 games.

That's a pathetic average of just 2 goals every 3 games.

Or a goal every two and a quarter hours of football (not including injury time).

I very nearly posted something similar a few days back, but hesitated as I wasn't sure whether or not it was really fair to take out those 'exception' games?
I was left wondering if all clubs have similar 'exception' games and that, without those games their average goals per game is also really poor.
Irrespective, 24 goals in 35 games is dire, and once again nicely highlights the problem .... as does the past scoring record across our whole squad ... although it was a good post recently about chance creation being a root cause. Irrespective, has to be solved for next season.

So if you take out games where we did well then you're left with games where we didn't do well?

I dunno, we've scored more goals than Milwall so I'm guessing they've had some pretty dour runs considering how many they scored to start the season.

Considering our goals scored is so poor we’ve actually done quite well to keep our goal difference down. Our goals against is only bettered by Preston in the bottom half of the table.
