Activists in a vanishingly small community are likely to have a vanishingly small effect. And the chances of someone losing their job for ‘a difference of opinion’ is similarly small. If you’re honest with yourself it’s far more likely that they were fired for more than that. As for the kicker, if only biology was as neat and tidy as having only two buckets that people fall into. What we do with those who fall in between in a very real biological sense is the question.

Course it was. Doesn’t stop litters of kitty kids popping up all over the NE - which as we know is legendary for being the bell weather of social change.

I’m no biologist and I suspect you aren’t either. So realistically our opinions count for nothing. There are enough biologists out there who will tell you that there are only male and female though in the human world. You can’t change your biological sex no matter how much you want to.
As for people losing their jobs over criticism of trans people. It’s happened so don’t be so disingenuous to say it hasn’t. The trans community have a very large voice when it comes to changing laws and formulating government policies. You can get your birth certificate changed to show that you are female even if you were born with XY Chromosomes. If that isn’t trans activism at work I don’t know what is.
Somehow though I don’t think I’m going to change your mind and I doubt you’re going to change mine.

I quit biology in 1994 but I can remember enough to know that no serious scientists are as equivocal to say that - when there are so many chromosomal instances and intersex occurrences that sit outside of the male-female duality.

Of all the stupid things in our modern world, trans panic must rank as one of the stupidest. A small amount of thought is all it takes to navigate those waters without any impact whatsoever. It wouldn’t surprise me if most people on here have never even seen a trans person in the flesh let alone talked to one. The space people allow this minor issue to take up in their heads, when the western world is practically collapsing around our ears, is mind blowing. For clarity the collapse is nowt to do with pronouns.

Patrick Christy on GB News followed that up - if what he says is right , a total of 94 children aged 3-5 have been suspended or permanently excluded from nurseries for gender issues and racism. One little girl chose a black doll over the white one ( probably just a child’s decision of I prefer the one with long hair , or the blue dress) but was deemed racist decision and parents hauled in to ask where she was getting it from

If a school has children identifying as cats they should put them on a bus, take them to the Vets and have them microchipped then spayed/castrated.

My wife is a teacher, has been 30 years, and never heard of it. Not even the hoax. I checked and it was Joe Rogan who had to apologise and he has a big following.

To be fair it's just one thread amongst hundreds of others and not a big deal ...

... I'm sure not all of your posts are on Gaza, the war in Ukraine or the US stock exchange crisis.

This is actually a serious issue when men are identifying as women in order to be sent to female prisons and expecting to use female changing rooms at swimming pools etc ...

... it's quite reasonable for people to concerned, especially when children are involved.

Events in the Middle East, Western Europe and the USA are much less important to people than the safety of their children.

Not true. Go to any secondary school / college etc and there are young people identifying as cats.

Biology is there and is science for the trans aspect. I care about sport and fairness. Fairness comes before inclusion. Blokes beating women in women categories because they think they are female. It's a disgrace.

You noted intersex , yes that's true but even the , a chromosome make up still leans one way of the other and that has huge impacts on puberty, physiology development and sporting advantage. Loom at Kaliff in the Olympics etc. Shocking. Called it then and it's all out in the wash now. Great to see sport NGB and internationals go back to the simple swab best in the cheek. No more passport identification nonsense.

Personally buzzing that some real, common sense and biological fact is coming back to the fore. Fairness and fact always comes before inclusion and make believe.

I have worked in higher education for a long time. I have never come across this identifying as a cat once. Of course I may well not be entitled to know about it, but in all honesty the only time I have ever heard about it before is an American hoax that social media ran with. It was proven to be nonsense.

I may well be out of touch but I have genuinely never heard of it. I have two lads who are coming out of college / still there and they have never come across it. If as you say it is happening in any secondary school or college I just feel it would be more known about.

Back to the rock I seem to have been living under I go. I think I might well prefer it if what you say is true.

Yeah it's a generation thing mate. Alot of younger kids who go through this grow out of it too by HE. Definitely a younger thing and a battle against social norms or other issues. But if you have contacts in education at a younger provison, ask about. It's a 100% true thing.

Too add it was a bit of a bigger thing a couple of years ago, definitely seems to be on the slide out now.

Outside of the potential context of young people taking the pass out of daft old bastards I don’t believe it for a second. Two high school kids here and tonnes of parents known across lots of schools and there’s not a whisper of it.

“Every other person’s a cat person, mate. Nah not here though. It happens at a different school”
